Greetings New World Developers!
I just wanna start off by saying thank you for all your hard work and efforts! I love the direction of the game! It is such a blast! I bought 3 copies to play with my friends and now they are addicted to the game too. I have been playing since release and I just had some small feedback!
Magic Range!
I focus a lot on PVP and when going against a Musket user or a bow user, it can be a little frustrating when my lights or heavies do not reach. Muskets are deathly accurate/ the bullet travel time is fast and their bullet travels soooo incredibly far (which makes sense because it is a sniper rifle and their design makes sense). But sometimes I feel like I am not that far away, and my magic heavy or light disappears. It can be super difficult to engage against a bow or musket user when they can be holding up a cliff side or top of a castle. I understand the intent is that muskets and bows are designed to be the most efficient range weapons with the largest range, but I have moments where it feels a little unfair.
For example, I was taking over a fort, and I could not hit to the other side of the forts walkway (At the top where the cannons are). So of course, I was getting wrecked because my attacks do not reach. I have to jump off and try to run closer, but by then I already ate like 3-4 arrows or musket shots. I did feel a bit sad cause it would have been an epic battle, we were both up on the walk ways across from each other. So it was like battle of the epic aim.
This happens often with other scenarios where I can’t reach them. In Outpost rush especially.
I understand, perhaps magic is supposed to be a medium ish range weapon? I guess I am just unsure where the line is. I think a little bit of extra range for lights and heavies would be super awesome! I am also unsure if magic also has a slower bullet travel speed, but it could just look like that because it is a larger projectile.
