Range vs. Melee - Why not both?

I always see posts hating on range / bow / etc… I think a lot of these come from players who have never actually played a build with a ranged weapon. Bow / Spear marries range and melee perfectly. You’ll see in this video 90% of my engagements are close combat and I’m regularly in the front/back line + in the forts.

Man that was epic, to bad allot of weapon combos do not feel that fluid.

It’s only suitable for DEX players and that’s all good, making the best out of the attribute and available choices.

STR has the BB with a very hateful hitbox for autos, so not a very suitable option other than full schitzo, using it a side wep didn’t work, for me at least, that mid-range buckshot can’t hit shit, or lands 1 pellet for 200 damage to a target that would have taken the full bow damage with the same aiming and distance, so it’s not a consistent option.

I dunno man, DEX players think that STR people call for damage nerfs, I do not, I only have issues with the full toolkit in the current meta, hard to counter in many ways. The upcoming GS will be a nightmare pair with the Box offering invuls and blocking and what not, but still tho, back on topic, DEX has the best toolkit hands down, when used for melee/ranged combos, sometimes is a fight better to avoid, but the neat thing, is you can’t, coz you get stabbed in the back anyway.
