What is your character name in New World: GrimWuIf
-
What server/world did you experience your issue on: Sarragalla
-
Describe the issue you are experiencing:
When using a ranged attack, the projectile goes where the mouse was pointing at the beginning of the attack, not where the mouse is pointing at the time the projectile is spawned.
Example:
When you shoot a healing auto attack, three things happen:
- [animation] The character ‘spins’ the life staff and ‘draws’ a tiny circle with the orb side.
- [Fire] The projectile gets spawned and leaves the weapon.
- [Animation] The lifestaff moves slightly upwards and backwards, and resets.
Right now the Projectile will be assigned its vector at the very beginning of step one, while it is meant to be vectored at the beginning of step 2.

Is this a bug or an exploit: Bug
-
(if a bug) How did the issue affect your gameplay:
Ranged is basically aoe or get lucky with your shots. (some people are working around it by compensating for the first animation) -
(if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: no
-
(if a bug) Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced:
New World 2021.11.15 - 03.17.18.08.DVR -
What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced:
Move your mouse in any direction after clicking, and the projectile will leave from where your mouse was as you clicked, not where you’re aiming as the projectile leaves. You can even shoot arrows behind you if you can 180 fast enough, its silly.
