Ranged is too overtuned

Fix it, tired of not being able to catch any ranged, and then having them hit harder than any melee because they can just stack empower. Musket should either have bullet dmg dropped at ranges or should just have the damage dropped.

Only people that complained about where the musket was was people who sit back and don’t do anything but pop shots. There is no reason they should be two shotting or even 4 shotting melee builds.

Its one of the most frustrating things, that you can’t catch them because they pair with rapier and light armor for if you some how get close, let alone they can just beam you from any point on the map.

Excuse my complaining, just tired of it in OPR, open world and less but somewhat the same, in war.

and lets be honest, there is a lot more aim botting out there because the biggest thing that happens if you are caught doing it is a day or two ban.

If you’re getting 2 shot by anything you need better gear, higher GS and or need to stop running in straight lines in open field.

So what’s the problem? Why are you getting 2 shot? 5 con build?

15 stacks of empower? i didn’t say i was but I’ve seen people which could be the 2 shot glitch. or aimbotting hs.

either way you are arguing based on one part. the statement still stands that as a whole its overtuned especially when paring with light armor and a rapier.

I honestly don’t believe that either the bow or musket are overtuned. If anything those players that camp are annoying but by no means a real threat unless you’re coming in with really low con or GS or both.

and no I don’t currently play musket or bow in OPR.

i don’t have either of the issues you keep bringing up, and outside of just not having a healer, you can’t hit them. even if you get them one on one and they are decent at all, you don’t win.

a group can kill em if they are playing close but even then its most likely that they just run away. i just dislike the idea of having something that can do as much as they can and have no actual threat to themselves other than another musket user.

so i suppose its not just the weapon that is overtuned, its the combo of light armor, rapier and musket and mortal empowerment.

Ok that I can agree with. There are some players on Eld that are unkillable with a rapier unless you 4v1 them. But I’m also kind of use to that from other MMO’s. They’re annoying but it’s one those things if I know I can’t corner them I just move on.

Those players are basically in-game trolls and if you take the bait and try to chase them down then you’re just making their day.

prolly right, im just salty. i don’t really think there was much thought in the nerfs/buffs and what not on overall effect with different weapon combos.

if u dont think musket needs some sort of range falloff . idk man thats tough

Maybe it’s playstyle. I don’t run around alone in open field intentionally. If I do I’m not running low enough con where a camper would be a problem for me.

so the issue i have is when they are close, obviously its a bad idea to run around in an open field and not get out of los.

even getting close they can roll roll roll, repost, get away. don’t really even have to be a skilled player to do that and not get caught. the changes to most of the cc in the game makes it extremely difficult even in close quarters with them.
