which is why nerfing a weapon someone has used since beta into the ground, is the worst move the dev’s could have made. “Lets make some players favorite weapon unenjoyable. Maybe then their friends will come back” - some AGS dev probably.
Where was that outcry when this happened to Firestaff, or Rapier?
Now that you guys got everyone else nerfed, there is no one around to help you? Good for you, you reap what you sow. Enjoy having to farm or buy 6million + gold from RMTs to get your new loadout!
You realize bruisers have been steadily nerfed hard every few months since the game released? And that this time they just slapped all melee besides rapier (reverted) and spear (they keep buffing this for some reason).
At this point more than half the weapons aren’t competitive for open world, group pvp. Str melee specifically is on the mat.
We actually need massive buffs to lifestealing across the board. Ring plus weapon should be 11% each. Runeglass leeching should be doubled and .2 second ICD (same as refreshign move).
Aiming is much easier than landing easily telegraphed attacks. I don’t think they want to realize that landing an ability on bruiser is impossible against good dex, and if they do they have a paired escape weapon.
Dex do that much damage with ONE weapon. Bruisers have to use two to deal comparable damage and that leaves them with minimal chase and escape.
and yet even now their survive ability is even
Less than a dex or mage.
aiming at clumb is no brain job, even if u failed there is no consequence to u bcuz u are at 40m away.
i can just sit on 2nd floor of sun and pewpew or spawm fireball/pillar to clumb without any consequence.
for a melee go jump on someone, if you failed to land attacks then u are in big disadvantage now, because u selfrooted and animation locked urself, and got in a danger position.
ANd if u used ur mobility skill to jump then u have no mobility skill to runaway.
light melee def feels much sweaty than ranged to play before patch, but its rewarding and feels satisfied when u hunt some ranged down.
now light melee light much much harder when theres full load of ranged and aoes.
you only got 3 dodges and u better pray your enermy has bad bad aiming.
What sense does it make to squirrel off to try to kill that musket or bow or fire mage that is 30+ meters away. When you have a point to secure and hold to win the match. That’s sounds like a reasoning issue. One that in my other MMOs that I regularly do large scale PvP in. Will make all the mission-oriented groups not want to invite you to play with them.
