Don’t forget to check the Known Issues List to see if your issue is currently being worked on by the dev team.
We also have existing workaround for some issues that you can find here:
- What is your character name in New World: TheKdog
- What server/world did you experience your issue on: Themiscyra
- Describe the issue you are experiencing: Camera gets stuck in a very slow , dragging motion after performing rapier evade to the side, like trying to move camera under water.
- Is this a bug or an exploit: bug
- (if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay: makes the primary focus of rapier in my opinion difficult to achieve and very annoying to play.
- (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: after a second of no combat or standing still, the camera will snap back to where it’s supposed to be and go back to normal speed
- (if a bug) Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced: literally constantly on any vod on ttv:kdog as I’m a rapier main and have reported it as much as possible since beta but has yet to be addressed
- What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: use evade to the side(a or d) while in a fight. If you move your mouse at all while doing so, such as to account for your new position like you naturally would, it comes into conflict with the games camera targeting system(my assumption). After dodging to the side , your camera movement and it’s response time is terribly sluggish and laggy. This effect lasts as long as you keep moving/using the camera to look around in the fight(hence my thoughts of it being a targeting lock issue). Once the fight is over, the camera will snap back to where you are actually aiming. You can also full stop in the middle of combat for about a second, allowing the camera to catch up and it will snap back as well.
Ive reported this multiple times and have never seen it addressed, and hopefully it will be soon, as for PvP this makes using the evade a disadvantage if using for any direction but forward and back.
