One of the problems with the game and the dev team is they don’t clearly communicate how they expect weapons to be played. Or the play styles they are trying to promote.
They expect you the player to stumble on them in your own way, and honestly I think there is merit in that. It feels good. BUT sometimes we the player base needs a little direction.
You would think given the context clues of certain skills it would be obvious but… it’s not.
When you read the description of riposte it was entirely intended as a taunt which makes sense why it has a 3 second grit and long iframe and 360 triggering… why would riposte have a taunt if it wasn’t meant to be an evasion tank?
But then that begs the question….
Why is AGS destroying another play style… another potential tank when they only have one viable one? If rapier isn’t intended as a purely escape tool then maybe they should have communicated that better. If it’s actually meant to be an evasion tank then maybe the other skills should reflect that.
If they don’t want it to be purely defensive the. They should buff the skill cooldowns when used offensively.
Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.
