I know that this is talked about a lot in the OPR army chats and also here on the forums… but I am truly confused why AGS isn’t doing what everyone wants and given that its so simple to implement, AGS could fix the biggest issue with OPR within a few days if they actually listened.
so the change is this… when spawning into OPR and assigning people to teams, just ensure that a few of each role is on both teams! so simple and easy. just run a little check… everyone thats in the OPR match… what weapons are they running and then do things like ensure that both teams have a good share of life staff players… ensure that both teams have close to equal melee numbers, ensure that both teams have bow and musket and int players. simple, solved, easy.
I play a lot of OPR and every now and again there is a balanced match and its really fun! but unfortunately 90% of the time its not balanced. its one side of melee and heals and the other side is dex and int players and in these matches it sucks really bad… melee heals wins in an absolute landslide. also when one side has 5-6 healers and the other side has none - also a really not fun match… even for the winning side its not fun… so please… even if all you do is ensure that both sides have equal amounts of melee and heals and already OPR will be 100x better and more fun.
the concept is super simple - construct even teams so that you have an even match. I know its crazy, but hey, proof is in the pudding… those fun close tense matches are always going to have a good split of roles on both sides… so just try to replicate that 90% of the time instead of 10% of the time.
