Really Tired of Musket in OPR

Yeah, I wish Muskets would have some more options for engaging gameplay instead of being forced to sit on a rock at 100m distance. Is not fun for anybody.

Tell me then, what kind of advanced tactics you’re using as a Paladin?

For starters son we’re frontline not backline.

Right right, I’m sure you’re too busy cowering behind the rocks because bad man with musket hurts you.

You’re like those guys that ask for a 1v1 after being killed in an OPR in hopes that they wouldn’t reply so that you can tell them how afraid they are. But then they show up and actually beat you again in a 1v1.

Everybody and their mom knows at this point that hitting shots with the musket is not rocket science, anybody can pick up a musket, an armorpiece with Crippling Powder Burn and start owning people from across the map. It’s that easy.

Healers in the frontline lmao

Lol you’re one of those that thinks we’re suppose to cower in the backline. Explains a lot.

we can play up close it’s just not easy, when I tell people musket is a high-skill cap that is what I’m talking about. I’m one of the very few muskets that get slotted in wars on COS the diff is my 20m GP being strong not just my 100m

less skilled/ baby muskets have little to no choice but to sit back

Well that’s what all the good healers do. But I guess you want to feel extra special.

Hopefully you have not read the patchnotes from the PTR yet, because something tells me you’re not going to like them if you’re normally standing in front of the Tanks & Bruisers (for some reason).

It is definitely really difficult, they would have to buff the fluidity of the musket a bit more and buff some of the abilities to be less clunky so that it would be viable. I’m sure a lot of Musket players would love it if they could be a little more involved than just sitting on a rock in the distance.

That’s what Clerics do. Paladins are often in the fight. It’s okay if you’re ignorant pal.

Maybe one day you’ll learn to play. I’ll pray for you.

i got some baby musket chomping at the bit to do some wars but even if their good land their shots but that 20m gp gets them so hard govs just wont take the risk I’ve spent 100s of hours dueling all kinds of build to be able to but most people don’t got time for that, I always said giving the musket a good close range aoe could do the trick to get them closer to the fight and ya get stomped on at first but with time learn to be able to survive and fight in the thick of it

and I know we got sticky bomb but that thing is so bugged and easy to avoid

Next time when you go on the forums you should remember to not let your fragile ego dictate what posts you comment on, especially if you have no expertise on the topic.

I think they could easily make sticky bomb a more viable ability by making the animation faster and less clunky. Already deals really good damage though. Overall Musket just needs faster animations on the reload and less animation lock, would probably feel a lot better when the effective range would get reduced.

You posted a video where you are shooting an auto running guy who didn’t even react to multiple hits, you could have 100% accuracy on that even with a life staff or bow in this range and now we would see you are crying about life staff snipers, I asked for a normal gameplay not some cherry picked shit. Thats why I said its ridiculous and you are delusional if you think this is how it is.

Well, You asked for a video and you got a video that perfectly displays how trivial it is. Sometimes I equip the Infamy in my inventory mid OPR with a full INT build just to annoy other musketeers and manage to kill them super quick. It’s that easy.

I mean, If it makes you feel better you can think it takes a lot skill and a lot of practice to get good at hitting people, but in reality it just doesn’t. I’m sorry.

Love how quickly the devs response to musket complaints, but none to support the musket community, the least played weapon that requires the most skills to use. How biased can AGS be ? Thoughts ?

Would you not enjoy musket a lot more if it would feel a lot more fluid and less clunky, even if it means that you couldn’t deal max damage at max range? Or do you actually prefer to just sit at long distances and basically be a static turret? I just don’t see how anybody would prefer sitting on a rock instead of being closer to the fight with more fluid combat and more options.

lmao

I generally agree that musket currently incentivizes rat gameplay which is annoying but pretty ineffective at actually killing people unless the musket is good. A damage drop off with an overall damage increase to make up for it would probably be a good change. Right now a musket can only do good damage because it has 500 attribute points working for it. Force them to play closer range and they will have to dedicate more points into con resulting in a useless amount of damage.

Try playing 150 con 350 dex musket and you will question game balance when there’s brusiers running around with 200 con 300 str hitting people for 4k hammer heavies and instantly killing people with grav well
