Many threads have been made complaining about the game’s crafting system; the material cost is extreme and the rates are abysmal. Instead of just whining about the system’s current state, here’s an idea which is by no means new to MMOs but hasn’t been posted on the forums from what I could find. (Perhaps it was requested using a different term)
Really simple, you drag your item in there. It displays all perks for said weapon, and you can press the button below said perk to reroll it. I see a HUGE potential for azoth to be used in this system because of the abundance of it now (with travel costs reduced to ashes).
You shouldn’t be allowed/able to reroll perks on Named Items for obvious reasons. To combat widespread item deflation I propose to make the item soulbound on reroll.
Hopefully this exact idea or a variation of it gets implemented into this game because I haven’t met a single person who’s a fan of this casino crafting system which plagues this game.
TLDR: Add a system which permits you to reroll perks on your items excluding named ones and make said items soulbound on reroll to prevent deflation.
I would love seeing something like this added to the game, it would let players with less funds be able to obtain better items without ruining the economy.
I have been thinking about a similar mechanic, but thinking about sticting it to an item and rerolling all perks.
The above system will just result in everyone running around with the same perks, and will ultimately just turn into “buy 600 gear, reroll it to get the perks you want” which will ruin the economy.
But everyone runs (/wants to run) the same perk variants right now (in PvP that is):
Resilient + Weapon Perk + Utility (Refreshing Evasion, Refreshing, Freedom, Invigorate, Vigor or Physical/Elemental Aversion)
So I don’t see how that would impact the market, especially having said items soulbound. They wouldn’t get reinjected into the market. So supply would stay the same, I doubt demand would drop considering how rare 2 perkers are, nevermind 3. I am on the biggest NA server right now and there might be 20-30 BiS 3 perkers on the market, maybe ~50 2s…
It would simply accelerate the process of getting good gear in my opinion.
Perhaps they could limit the reroll to a single perk? So you could only reroll that perk infinitely.
Because if they were to limit rerolls that would not fix the problem one bit, it would simply add a few more rolls to the slot machine that it is now.
