Since the server transfers aren’t panning out to be what was promised and people have wasted tons of time leveling on alternative regions because they were led to believe they could transfer anywhere and now we are being told that is not true, what is the process you have for refunds on the game?
I am not willing to sink another 60-80 hours in the game to get back to where I was after being mislead. I would rather cut my losses and accept the wasted time and move on to another game.
Just dispute the charge with your CC. Show documentation of the promises broken and claim service not delivered as promised. You get the money back immediately, and Amazon can fight with the lawyers.
Did devs specifically state when server transfers would be available?
They did not but they now have stated there will be no transfers between regions, no transfers to full or locked servers, and a list of about 20 other stipulations on the transfers. Obviously this goes against their original official post of a player transferring to a server of their choice later.
What’re the 20 other stipulations?
Side note to the CC dispute thing. Once you dispute… do not under any circumstance attempt to login to the game again, ever. This will immediately invalidate your dispute.
I would think that Amazon has a mechanic to lock accounts with active CC disputes, but just in case they don’t…

They have updated the community, albeit in a poor fashion, with the newer information. Starting with the original statement:
… We are also working hard on a feature that will allow you to transfer your characters to a different server, so if you choose one now just to get up and playing, you can make a different choice later to play on a server with your friends. Our goal is to release this feature next week, once we’ve thoroughly tested and are sure it’s ready. Prior to its release, we will provide detailed information on how the transfer process works. We know how important it is to be able to play with friends, so we’re putting this feature at the top of our priority list.
They specifically stated they will release the specifics at a later time. Taken from the original announcement here.

But there is also the character transfers soon, then you can use your friends to transfer to another server that is still empty.
No I don’t think they handled this right, and yes it impacts me that i cant transfer to a server i want to.

Come on man we all know you aren’t going to refund, this issue most likely didn’t even impact you. You are just begging for attention with a post like this you could have easily made it in THE MEGA THREAD regarding it.
They really need to implement an IQ test for these forums. It would stop people like you from posting.
The CS team has already admitted they said things that were not true which caused people to make decisions they wouldnt have based on the false information that the game publisher provided and as a result, wasted tons of people times. I know it is hard for you to understand but that is a big problem. My time is valuable, your time obviously is not.
The reason for the thread was to bring attention to a separate issue as other people have requested refunds and been denied when they couldnt even log into the game. Our combined group of about 20+ people cant play together because of this issue so it most definitely impacted me.

I am a full time office work so my free time is very precious to me, invested my 48 hours on this game with the promised I could transfer to any server is a decent deal. Now they say its not possible? Its not about the money I spent. Its about what Amazon profitted because of their lies.
I had created an account on Styx to play there, but because of the long queue and the statement from Amazon Moved to an other server. If I can not move to a server that is full, that is OK, but if I want to play with my friends, we need to be on the same server and that is now not possible. Everything I have done until now is lost, so I would need to start from zero. MMORPGs are games you play for 1000s of hours, if it is a good one. Because you play them for years. So yes 40-80 are not much but you will run a long time behind the others. And the guy how says that 40-80 hours are what you get for 40 bucks, has never played MMORPGs for real… I can understand why somebody will refund and start an other game with his friends. I will think about that too.
Maybe Amazon can release some new server when the server transfer opens, so you can move to a new server and everybody has the same start. Or they add items/Funktion to transfer level and your gold when moving to an other cluster. Or like some other games have it, an account box where you can add some items and gold. I think there will be many ways to “solve” this issue. But just to say you can not transfer between server clusters and that is it, is not a solution. There will be many who will want a refund because that is a no-go, I think.
