Regarding bots. What do you think about this solution?

Hello all! What do you think of the idea to lower the number of mined resources outside of pvp mode, for example by 2 times and leave the current number of resources for players who collect resources in pvp mode? The coefficient is optional, you can do not 2 times, but, for example, 1.5 times. Of course, you can just double the number relative to the current values for the pvp mode, in general, this will also help in the fight against the bots, but in this scenario is very hard on the price of resources. They already cost cheap, so the price will generally fall. And with the first option resources will become a little more expensive, but there will be a few advantages for the game:

  1. If the bots in pve mode will get 2 times less resources, the profitability will fall dramatically and there will be fewer bots.

  2. Yes, this will affect regular players in pvp mode, but guys, the game is still about pvp. This will perfectly stimulate world pvp and people quantity in pvp mode. There will be fights for spots. A sea of endless content. But if you don’t like fighting, you can still turn off pvp mode and run to collect what you need, though in smaller quantities.

  3. Actually there will be a new entertainment - to farm bots! Frankly, the game does not punish the bots properly. So then allow the players to do it! Hehehe

There are situations when you don’t really want to do some activities, you stand in the city and think, what to do? Here’s another content option for you! Go find and kill bots. I think it will give some emotions, like “feel like a sheriff” =).

As for the tricks on the trading post, I now about the situation where players put any resource for 5-10% of the current market value, waiting until other players do not pay attention to it, put their goods at this wildly undervalued and tricks quickly buy it. This situation is very annoying. I guess I’m not the only one.

So, you can enter the restriction that could not be put a small amount of product, for example, from 1 to 19 cheaper than 50% of the current market price of the cheapest price for the resource at the moment. So that this applies only to resources of white and green qualities. Because with the general rule for all items and resources, including the golden scarab, it is possible to exploit the trading post with pricing. And white and green resources in 99.99% of cases are put on the trading post pack of more than 19 pieces =)

That way these players would lose more resources on their shenanigans and it would become less profitable for many. There may be holes in this rule, that still needs to be thought through. I came up with this on my own, and if more than one person thinks about it, you can come up with a more elaborate scheme. For example, a 50% round trip rule. So that you can’t put an item out at 50% more than the current value. To protect against manipulation, when goods are deliberately underpriced, it is probably worth introducing an approximate market price of goods for the last 30 days. Although if a worthwhile item is deliberately priced low, the player will get caught out and lose potential gold for selling it. My suggestion for the trading post situation is a rough suggestion. Don’t judge harshly =)

I understand that about the bots is not the most elegant solution, but clearly effective. Write what you think about it.

I’ve noticed a lot fewer harvesting bots in the last couple of weeks. I think they have been working on a solution.

Regarding PVP or PVE mode, I think your idea is wrong: Are you trying to force the rest of us to play PVP because you are?

Its odd. I have been seeing them way more. But the server I am on is seeing a pretty drastic drop in active players.

I have a theory that the bots rotate around dying servers cause they have less chance of being reported,

I think it’s a terrible idea and will just continue the model of PvEers flagging to go gather while not stopping the bots and once more trying to force PvP on people who don’t want to PvP.

Bot reduction mechanic? Hardly. Bots cost nothing to run once they’re going and if they’re getting 1/2 of what they were getting they are still out there consuming nodes.

Agreed, and yes he obviously is.

Okay, I get it. Thank you for your opinion.

The funny part about this the bots I have seen the past week are all flagged.

None of this is needed or wanted just make resource nodes instanced like all other mmo’s

Cause noone new is playing this game, who the hell you think would even rmt in this game.
PvP’ers would be the only people, but those are pretty much gone by now
So you’ve a market with goods worth nothing

Bots aren’t there where’s no money to be made.
Not to mention farmers have likely hundreds accs with goldcap by now lol

This is an overcomplicated, complexity inducing, time-wasting idea. This should never be implemented. A terrible, un-needed suggestion for a problem already being handled.

Solution is Really simple Hire GM-s to watch (but we know this not gonna happen)Amazon is afraid of baning cheaters because they will go on twitter and destroy their PR
