Region Transfers - Can we get an update?

I am a US player still stuck on EU away from the majority of my friends because we were told when game launched to play on these servers to avoid queue.

I know the dev team is busy with a lot - but an update with any information regarding progress on this would be great .

Playing on EU just isn’t fun for me. My latency is bad enough it effects pvp. Only a few of my friends are here and it’s because they’re facing the same problem as I am.

Hate to pop your bubble but aren’t the server transfers, whenever they come out, region locked? IE: if you’re on EU servers, you can only transfer to EU servers.

Hate to burst your bubble, but the devs told us to play outside our regions and told us transfer would be made available.

They doubled down on this week’s ago in a post stating they were sorry they weren’t more clear and they thought they owed region transfers to us.

The current transfers are region locked- yes. But that is not what this post is inquiring about.

In one of their posts they said they’re working on them but didn’t give a time frame as it’s not an easy thing. You guys might have to bite the bullet and make new characters in your own region if you want to play without lag & be able to play with all your friends, otherwise you’re going to have to wait it out still. I’ll find the post and edit this to link to it.

No way I can bite the bullet. I’m level 60 with most professions either high or maxed out. I’m sure you can understand why it’s not an option .

I never would have went this route if the devs hadn’t told us it would be okay to do it. It’s just at the point the lag is making pvp not fun for me at all and I’d like to play with more of my US friends

Maybe I missed it, but I don’t ever recall devs saying “Play outside your region.” I remember them saying that they were opening more servers and that in the future transfers would be available, but that’s it.

They said play wherever you can, we will allow transfers to a “server of your choice”. Which is basically “don’t refund our game due to long queue times”.

Have friends stranded on US West and would like an update as well.
