Security for what?
They are most likely using the same API the Amazon site uses for payment processing, that stuff is usually mantained by the people who developed it. Is not one actual developer watching all transactions
My point is it shouldn’t have been added from the get go until the game is fixed
They still have to implement and maintain that handshake on there end for security purposes
Also just gonna say I fixed my game 2 days ago and it won’t launch again… this game sure is finished
This doesn’t make any sense. The cash shop needed to be included on launch as it is a game feature .

Warframe is in beta and they have had a cash shop since they launched beta.
The whole argument is that a game needs to be perfect to have a cash shop is absurd.
If you don’t like the products…don’t buy them
It is not a KEY feature. They advertised this as a complete AAA title the fact I haven’t been able to launch my game along with others is crazy. So lets add a cash shop… oh users can’t launch ohh well. I said stable not perfect

I haven’t had any Issues with cash shop seems to be working perfectly.

no Im angry that I paid $40 i can’t play. I’ve contact AGS to no avail, they have not earned to $40 I paid for yet because of this issue. My point is they didn’t have their ducks in a row and follow through with promises. I do not have the product I paid for and I feel that it is wrong to ask for more money when there are issues that keep players from even accessing their game.
No need to remove the shop.
However IMO they do not deserve a single cent until they stabilize this game, so I won’t be spending my money on that shop.
But I’m afraid that NW will die long before they are able to fix everything that needs fixing.
Anyways my main issue is fixed AGS couldn’t fix my game from being unable to launch so they gave me my money back

it wasn’t my system installed it on my fiances computer to try it there still nothing. I have a feeling its an issue with the cloud save but that doesn’t matter. I got it installed on a m.2, my pc is decent (3700x, 16GB RAM, 1070ti) so I have no issues there and yet it wouldn’t launch and if it brought up an error code it would be like 3-5 minutes after “launching” the game. I guess I just pulled the short straw, ahh well other games one the market may return later. I am wondering since they can’t normally do refunds if that means they don’t have a way to revoke the license. Ill be curious to see what happens when the refund goes through. Anyways enjoy the game everyone who can play it, hope that it is a more consistent experience for you soon
Fallout 76 is a great example of this.
Bethesda had a terrible launch and for a little while it was understandable that those cosmetic employees would keep chugging along with their own tasks but at some point the amount of cosmetics verses actual fixes happening were just too little and it’s clear their priorities were elsewhere

This is amazon games they are handled as an own company - and it might not surprise you, they re quiet new and dont have a history of successfully launched products.
Yes there are bugs, and money is the core element to keep fixing those. No money - no bug fixes, resulting in you not getting anything in this game.

They can ask for money as much as they want - and I appreciate it, cause its optional without an advantage in that game. The whole thread is non-sense, same goes for your thinking.

You can’t be serious. What MMO have you played at launch that was sooo much better? Give me a break man. This game is fun and entertaining. People are putting HUNDREDS of hours into it. And you all come here and complain that it isn’t good enough. If the game is so bad, why are you here asking them to remove a cash shop, of all things? Stop acting like a child, appreciate the effort that’s gone into the game, and wait patiently for them to continue to pour their energy into it.
Personally, I’m “opposed” to the idea of removal of the shop.
It should be a player’s choice whether or not they elect to purchase ingame goods, or otherwise deem the game is worth more money than they’ve already paid for the release. Amazon doesn’t need to make this choice for them…
If people deem that the game is not worthy of such, and do not pay, that sends a message in and of itself. The existence of the shop, and the ability to spend money, is an approval voting mechanism. It provides useful analytical data beyond players joining, leaving, or time spent playing the game.
EDIT: For clarity, this view is dependent on that the shop remains “cosmetics” and not boosters.
This entire point of view is null… The artists working on cosmetics don’t code or have developer tasks… These people were already hired by the company… Asking for them to be replaced with “X” amount of coders to fix issues is incredibly narrowminded…
The budget for the artist position is completely separate than the budget for the others, I am sure… The artist could be gone, and it wouldn’t change the amount of bug fixes… They could hire more devs/coders and the amount of bugs would still be there…
This isn’t a money issue - they sold over 1 million copies of this game after all…

There shouldn’t be this many bugs in a “finished” game. They refused refunds to alot of people. They flat outlined about it being finished and a AAA game. I’ve seen indie alphas more stable than this. What happened to taking pride in your work? You don’t ask for a raise when you just got a terrible work evaluation do you?
There is nothing wrong with cash shop. Asking for it to be removed is silly. The devs do not prioritize more important things behind cash shop development. These things are set by a specific team that handles these issues and almost always have a lower priority then content.
Another thing also is that the way these are imported into the cash shop does not require development resources from a lot of the team. Artist makes the items in some 3d program like 3ds. They create them and its added to the game.
this has nothing to do with speeding up or slowing down bug fixes, etc.
They are not forcing you to buy, and there’s no subscription, devs/artists family have to eat too right?, Don’t spend your money on things you cannot afford, if $40 will bankrupt you, and will not make you sleep at night, don’t spend it please
