They really do need to change how invasions work. It’s honestly getting annoying now. It shouldn’t be a 50 man, 45 minute activity that’s incredibly easy up until the last 5. Also really stupid how invasions can lock a territory for 2 days.
This is a bad way to reduce shell companies. It has a boarder impact on the game than there needs to be.
The better way to reduce shell companies is to have a timer (maybe even as little as two days) after a company is created that disables it from declaring war during that period. It would also be good if the war roster requires a certain amount of company members from the companies to participate in the war. Although this doesn’t stop shell companies it greatly reduces them and requires much more effort into maintaining them.
Another idea is to have the companies actually mean something. Something you build up and not just create for free. The problem with shell companies is that they are easier to create, require a small amount of effort to be able to declare a war and then can roster anyone into their war. This allows one person to create a company, push influence on a territory and steal a declaration from another company all in the same day. I’ve seen instances in which small groups of players push territories for the sole purpose of stealing declarations either to sell the declaration or as a means for the defending company to prevent losing their territory.
Wait, how does this change Faction Vs Faction? You can put the top 200 active players in each faction into the same company and nothing has changed.
There is a severe imbalance in factions that GC PvP missions have highlighted. I don’t see how any of this improves Open World PvP.
