im alway going around flagged when i gather, its just more fun.
If you dont wanna figth try to hide, mess with the other flagged player, kite’ em until they give up, every aspect of PvP is fun.
And if some PvP player are toxic, just dont reply to them, it will shatter their ego.
getting killed by another player is exaclty like getting killed by a mob.

this is a great game and i want to see the vision of PvE and PvP coexsisting.
It is not fun for the vast majority of mmorpg players. It’s great that you get enjoyment being someone else’s cheap piece of game content. Most do not share that view however.
As for coexisting. This is a problem because in the unreachable never ending quest to “balance pvp” gear and game mechanics are utterly destroyed in regards to pve. The ill-conceived flagging bonus for gathering and chest looting is a perfect example. People who do not desire pvp are directly punished in not having an extra needed bonus to gathering and looting. Certain items are stupidly over the top rare and the only way we can get that small extra chance of obtaining said PVE GEAR is to engage in a mode we have zero interest in. This is sheer stupidity!
The only “bonus” to flagging should be that of better chances of obtaining PVP GEAR! Anything other than that is simply a piss poor attempt to hand easy targets to people that feel themselves big by giving grief in video games to those that do not wish to receive it.
this is not a full loot PvP game, griefing is not existing.
Maybe the real problem is the extreme small drop rate of certain drops.
But man, learn to play the game in its total, dont be mad if you are being outplayed by someone, just use that occasion to learn something new.

It seems you’re the only one here whos ‘mad’. As for 'learning to play the game". I’ve learned to play the game the way I enjoy it quite fine without taking your opinion into account. As for griefing it absolutely does exist regardless of how well fitted your blinders are! Nothing will entice the majority of people (myself included) that realizes pvp in mmorpg’s just doesn’t work and thus abstains from suddenly changing our mind to jump on your small bandwagon and start enjoying it. However if that day were ever to come I’ll be sure to make you the first I inform of it.
PvP Shouldn’t exist outside of territory pushes opr and war, mindlessly making people flag. Griefing also does exist, I’m sick and fucking tired of seeing the same 5 people camping orichalcum nodes all god damn day. Bet money they are gold sellers.

PVE crowd would prefer to pay a sub for what is currently the PvP bonus. Maybe add XP bonus… that is basically the same in all MMOs.
PVP bonus should increase dmg/healing/hp/armor etc… PvP related things. Maybe +15% GA/IG damage…

Totally agree. Adding pve bonuses to entice people to flag for pvp is beyond illogical. It’s a piss poor lazy ass attempt to add bodies to open world pvp. It has never and never will work. The astonishing thing is they (the developers) actually thought it would work so much so they actually developed code to make the bonus.
I think it’s high time the developers open their eyes and realize the majority of mmorpg players simply don’t wish to engage in the pvp environment they’ve provided.
Adding luck for flagging is basically getting on the same terms with pve players but being ready for pvp wearing pvp gear.
Wearing luck gear on top of flagging is the risk of being 1 tapped in open world by other player.
What OP is trying to do is to remove greener grass from the neighbours garden.
Right now the incentive is to put on your prettiest flower picking outfit, go to the worst part of town to pick flowers and hope you don’t get beat up.

This bonus is nothing more and a piss poor attempt to entice people that have no interest in pvp to flag thus giving those that are interested more targets. It is completely illogical giving a bonus to pve gathering and looting for pvp flagging. If any bonus is given it should be for pvp centric items and buffs!
Luck bonus on pvp makes no sense, pvp players don’t craft, don’t gather
PVP bonus should matter to pvp, as I stated on other topic, it’s a badly designed lure that won’t work, creates unbalance, gives pvp players bad pvp experience, gives pve players bad gathering experience and increase the gap and friction between the 2 game modes.
PVP should be rewarded with things that matters to pvp, like faction tokens, repair kits, etc. No matter which is the incentive, pve players won’t toggle to pvp just because a lousy bonus, and again you will have this situation while flagged:
-player 1 - let’s hope no one is around
-player 2 - someone is around, let’s find another node
-player 3 - camped this node all day and no one appeared.

global luck= 5 armor pieces plus pearls plus 3 jewerly slots 3.3 x8 = 26.4
Gather luck = 5 armor pieces plus ?amulet? 5 x 5 plus 10 = 35
Average PvP luck :
Global 10

This is for the PvP player that want to enjoy Open world PvP, gather around and figth with other people in this wonderfull word, its very easy to understand.

I completely agree. They should get all the PVP bonuses their soft little hearts desire for flagging pvp. To give pve bonuses for pvp flagging does nothing but withhold that bonus from people that have no desire to engage in pvp. This is a net negative to the extreme majority of the player base.
The problem with giving them pvp bonuses for flagging is they don’t actually want the shit that drops. They want more and easier targets to harass and bully. Mental midgets need this to get off on. They equate their victories over other players in a video game to their standing and toughness in real life. Just look at all the chest thumping displayed by many of the quote “pvp crowd”.
I know this is a hard pill to swallow. If you want more open world pvp look in the mirror and check your 12 year old attitude! Don’t demand more bonuses you don’t really care about to dangle a carrot in front of us who don’t wish to engage or be your cheap content!

That is not true. Please fully read my replies and my thread to see that what I want is an actual PVP content. Is it really PVP if you’re primarily gathering resources? To me that sounds like you’re primary objective is gathering and PVP is an afterthought. Is the main objective of OPR farming for resources? Is the main objective of Wars farming tokens to build stuff? That is not what PVP content is supposed to be.
What AGS has done is a bandaid fix so that people who want to have overworld PVP has some targets in the form of other players taking advantage of the flagging bonus. I myself like PVP but I don’t like it when I’m fighting someone who doesn’t even have PVP gear on, or who doesn’t want to fight. That’s not PVP.
In other PVP centric games like CS, LoL, OW etc. do you fight against other players in the same state as flagged gatherers? No, everyone has a decent chance to win and it all comes down to skill. You can’t be a decent PVP player if you’re mainly fighting against someone who isn’t even in PVP gear (or wants to fight).
I feel like a lot of comments here doesn’t really want to fight someone of their own caliber or higher with regards to PVP skills, but just want an easy target or someone to gang up on.
You sir are a true pvp enthusiast. Most these fools are just juvenile chest thumpers that want the easy targets. If there were more people with your attitude I honestly feel there’d be more open world pvp. The chest thumpers ruin it for you by discouraging many from having the slightest desire to engage in open world pvp. The ill-conceived pve bonus for flagging didn’t accomplish anything more than give the chest thumper crowd a megaphone.
There’s just too many fundamentally wrong thought processes going on here, especially considering how much of a non-issue the flagging bonuses are. People just mad to be mad.
What is fundamentally wrong? A few facts…
1 - The bonus was intended to entice more people into open world pvp.
2 - This failed. Most people still do in fact not want to open world pvp or give themselves willfully to be cheap content for chest thumper internet kids.
3 - Handing pve bonuses to people for pvp flagging is the same as denying bonuses to people that have no interest in being easy targets to chest thumpers.
4 - If a bonus is to be given for pvp flagging the only logical bonus would be one in which the items and effects are pvp related. Any other way is to give one group of people a bonus for something unrelated while not doing the same for another group.
Instead of just dismissing what they’re saying, try to understand it.
A lot of it boils down to the fact that enticing players to be participants to non-PVP elements is a bad design for PVP content. Like I’ve said before this is a temporary fix for the lack of content that’s been plaguing New World ever since release. We need real PVP content.
