Remove property taxes!

Or give me the ability to buy a cabin in the woods and dodge taxes like all unincorporated hillbillies!

If they built in a base building system to use with all the wood we cut down… I would INSTANTLY be back in this game hardcore mode.

Do NOT abandon your houses! Just Stop paying the taxes. You will still have your house and your stuff, but not the ability to use the extra storage or the porting, or those trophies. If no one pays then those offending companies get nothing.

I like this suggestion! Yes, cabin in the woods please. ;p

True, but most of the reason for the house is a combination of travel, storage and buffs. You lose all three with that. It feels like slicing off your nose to spite your face. The company still gets coins from other means and whatever bonuses comes w/ the territory while the settlers are stiffed.

Ya they def need to fix this, taxes are very stupid. I refuse to pay taxes on my houses Ill just move my storage around to other locations and buy viles of azoth to get around its cheaper than paying taxes

Of course not… Let’s all hang our trophies around our waists.

The big fix here is just to reduce the taxes back to what it was pre-patch.

Many folks purchased homes during the time that taxes were lowered, NOT KNOWING that there was ever an adjustment made prior…so those folks logged in yesterday and had a WTH moment!

I personally don’t care about all the other items they added this patch, as I only run dungeons when someone needs help, but I DID enjoy harvesting, crafting, questing and house decorating…so the patch pretty much removed a large portion of my fun. I doubt I am going to sell a lot of house trophies or storage chests, if folks all start abandoning their homes, etc. This patch killed the reason to level Furnishing.

%100 i agree with you.

Or we can be more consequent! Why only house, trading and crafting taxes? Let’s pay taxes for healing and hunting (owning company could sell licenses), chopping, mining, fishing…

Id like to see the taxes back to the reduced rate to be honest, im one of the players who did not know this was just a temp reduction in the tax payments.

+1 . Remove house taxes. Companies make more than enough off of the crafting stations. Let alone the benefits/buffs of being the Town holder.

The system is flawed in that, once every territory is maxed out the town board is completely useless.

I agree that the property taxes should be removed or at least a set rate, reasonable, that does not change. Logged on today and mine went from 279 to 780. I won’t pay this and will no longer be playing the game until this is fixed. So sad.

says the person that clearly does not craft.

I left this game 2 months ago cuz I got fed up with the tax system. Makes no sense why a company can earn all our gold and sell the left overs for IRL money

Been asking for a revamp since the beginning and AGS is too stubborn to do it .

Hopefully if they do it they also release one fresh server I would gladly start over on a server where a company can’t just automatically earn 6 mill gold a week

Property tax really should be capped more like 0.2% to 1% or completely removed. Crafting does not bring enough money? Everyone crafts, not everyone owns a house & you cannot even see anyone’s house except the top top scoring house unless you actively go viewing them. Why tax the houses? No point, causes problems, players don’t like it - change it. 0.2% to 1% of the value might be acceptable. Higher? No. Do higher rates on the company that owns the territory if at all & make the company members of the ruling faction who can show their houses/compete to be the public view model.
