everyone already knows 0 luck = more luck
They should remove pve mode so people can kill bots
I know that you want to be able to benefit from maximum luck and not feel forced to PvP and that’s fine, I can understand that. But before the PvP luck option was added to the game you couldn’t get anymore luck than what you could accomplish with gear and trophies. Flagged for PvP or unflagged it was the same. So if you don’t flag for PvP, then you’re no worse off than you would have been if the PvP luck system didn’t exist.
The PvP luck is additional luck that didn’t exist before. It’s optional and meant to be incentive to flag for PvP. It adds the possibility of greater reward in exchange for increased risk. I don’t think this is unfair. If you think about it, nothing is being kept from you that would have had otherwise.
I hope that makes sense.
it is clearly a discriminatory and partial characteristic. It is a contradiction, the game allows us to choose to move in the flagged open world or not.
Actually they should remove pvp so we don’t have cheats.
This is not true, I got 3 silver leafs in the same time someone in my group got 0 because I run full luck and major trophies.
Sorry neither of these are reasons to remove the buff. If you want the buff, you gotta flag, if you are going to flag prepare to die. Red is dead.
Its there to incentivize pvp not make it easier for you to farm.
Not being able to create farm groups is a different issue you can address by faction changing, server transfering, or finging a guild with people who want to help each other.
If anything the luck provided should be scaled to be MAX luck achievable by your gearscore on equipment and NOT stack with gear luck. So that for pvp players it is a way to do open world stuff without needing luck gear but they would have to find other ways to incentivize open world pvp.
Im a pve player. I only flag for luck. I accept i might die but ill fight back if attacked.
I always felt like the buff incentivized flagging but not pvp. It has always felt wrong seeing two conflicting faction members in a train workingvtogether flagged.
I dont know how you fix incentivizing actual pvp without a massive overhaul of the rewards they get only from killing players. For now the buff is one of the few things they have and its fine till they throw them some other bones.
Flagging for luck is stupid, it does not incentivize proper pvp. What it does is make pvp players want to farm cheap kills for faction tokens. Luck should not be forced on players who have no desire to pvp.
There’s no reward that will make a pve player flag for pvp. All this bonus does is create an economy unbalance, the few players that eventually flag because they’re comfortable with both play style, eventually will be avoiding the confrontation and either start running or look for spots where no one goes, so this bonus is a lousy attempt to lure pve to pvp which obviously didn’t worked as intended and created even a greater gap between the two play modes.
Then dont pvp flag. Its a bonus not a requirement. Its an alternate progression channel not THE progression channel. You can get max luck without the buff.
It’s not forced on you in literally any way. Your problem is between your chair and your keyboard and it stares back at you when you look at a mirror.
Nooooo, do not remove but increase.
I repeat, devs should consider removing this clearly contradictory and discriminatory feature towards players who choose to play unflagged. There are other ways to incentivize pvp, not with this arbitrary average.
I disagree, do not remove pvp luck but in addition make high lvl areas auto pvp on.
You’re not actually going to get more pvp by making a pvp only zone then pve players just aren’t going to go there and probably quit because you want to cut off end game zones from them.
it’s not incentivcing the people that want to pvp though. it’s incentivizing the people who want more luck. they should add other things that are pvp related for pvp instead of adding pve things.
I whole heartedly agree. remove it. add in a expensive but producible luck potion.
and for flagging there are a billion ideas out there that would make flagging better. do daily missions that require you to flag and do things kill ppl group up etc for pvp rewards. maybe get a chance at a legendary pvp item a day by completing missions. so on and so forth.
as it is this system just encourages ganking which makes pve players want to quit. the luck is too tempting.
yup. ppl flag anyway and then are very very unhappy when they get ganked. especially after the blog on how luck works it’s impossible to ignore. I am pve and I flag for the luck. it makes me feel super bad when things I’m organizing or doing get ganked.
after reading that blog I decided to start doing flagged pvp chest runs for faction. hey this is good. I’m filling a gap no one else is filling and helping ppl level. goes ok at first but then for some reason we start getting people in our own faction sabotaging. someone in the run wants it to fail so bad they let another faction know where we are exactly and a group of their top pvp players come to decimate our gs run (which yah know, by definition means we aren’t geared for pvp encounters) they wipe us and then we wipe them. ok haha right? they don’t stop. then our run gets fractured. the ones killed can’t come back because they’re getting slaughtered. in the mean time others are going ahead.
me the person organizing this gets flak from everyone.
end result I don’t want to do it anymore. but I do. I really want the goldfish and telescope. they’re so rare that extra luck does matter. but it feels really bad.
that’s one example of how it doesn’t work.
people who want to pvp will pvp regardless of how you bribe them. the pve ppl getting bribed into it… it just makes them feel bad and like maybe another game is friendlier. using them as bait… it feels bad
Sounds like they shouldn’t flag then.
Completely possible to ignore. You are choosing for yourself to try and double-dip on a system not intended for double-dipping. You can literally just not flag and the problem goes away immediately and entirely.
Yes it is. You’re right that it doesn’t incentivize pure PvE players to PvP (and it’s not trying to) but rather allows PvP players to engage in the traditional open world PvP gameplay loop of fighting other players over resources.
You would have to be cataclysmically self-absorbed, selfish, and petty to quit over content being added for players with different interests than you. Imagine PvP players threatening to quit over the new dungeon being added.
Grow up.
