Remove PvP Loot Luck

If you don’t take the risk, why get the greater reward?

Or rather,

If you don’t want to take the risk, why remove the reward from those who do?

If you don’t want to PvP, then you can run luck gear and be extra safe  if you want to survive a gank, get some resilient/freedom gear and don’t wear luck gear.

The rewards aren’t good enough to have my time wasted bc some nerd wanted a cheap kill in luck gear. Also like I said putting together groups to farm bosses is an issue because you cannot group with other factions for pvp boss farming.

you are rigth, finding a group for overworld activities is very difficult cause of that.
But that’s it, the pvp bonus is needed so PvP player can go around and enjoy PvP without having to sacrifice perk(luck).
PvE 5 pieces plus amulet ring earring x2.8plus 0.5 = 26,4 luck
Pvp 10 luck

Then don’t flag.

the people flagging for luck are not interested in PvP, it just incentivizes cheap kills for faction points to people who don’t care about the luck aspect.

Then don’t flag if you aren’t interested in PvP.

Like talking to a brick wall, have a great night…

I mean, you have the solution to your issues right in front of you. If you don’t like to PvP then you shouldn’t be flagging, and if you flag for the luck bonus you need to accept that being killed is a risk you are taking. The whole point of flag luck is so you have a choice. You can either gather while unflagged but in luck gear, completely unmolested, or you can flag up in your combat gear and end up with a similar amount of luck and also the ability to PvP. It was specifically a solution to the issue PvP players were having, because while resources are the traditional objective which gets open world PvP going, in New World if you wanted to efficiently farm you needed a luck set, which left you having to choose between either farming or fighting when they’re supposed to be a combo activity.

The game shouldn’t be balanced around the fact that you can’t exercise a modicum of self-control given the only person it’s hurting is yourself. You can learn to make the correct choice or you can suffer completely by your own hand. It’s your choice, but don’t try to fuck PvP players over because you can’t bring yourself to make the correct one.

No

Now, remove ALL luck from the game, 100% for that. Remove all luck sets (refining sets and trophys are fine)…and make global luck universal, which will make RNG even more of a thing.

But I love wondering around flagged, while doing chests and harvesting. It makes the tasks funner. Have I died to groups? Absolutely…but still fun. Easily one of my top 5 favorite updates since launch. Some of my favorite moments involved chest runs with group vs group pvp.

Another good option would be an area that requires you to be flagged, in order to do any gathering. I’d accept that as well. Care bears can do their thing, and us that enjoy it can do ours…in less contested zones.

A lot of people I play with, would argue the opposite of your view point.

A LOT of players enjoy the loot luck, while flagged, aspect of the game.

everyone already knows 0 luck = more luck

They should remove pve mode so people can kill bots

I know that you want to be able to benefit from maximum luck and not feel forced to PvP and that’s fine, I can understand that. But before the PvP luck option was added to the game you couldn’t get anymore luck than what you could accomplish with gear and trophies. Flagged for PvP or unflagged it was the same. So if you don’t flag for PvP, then you’re no worse off than you would have been if the PvP luck system didn’t exist.

The PvP luck is additional luck that didn’t exist before. It’s optional and meant to be incentive to flag for PvP. It adds the possibility of greater reward in exchange for increased risk. I don’t think this is unfair. If you think about it, nothing is being kept from you that would have had otherwise.

I hope that makes sense.

it is clearly a discriminatory and partial characteristic. It is a contradiction, the game allows us to choose to move in the flagged open world or not.

Actually they should remove pvp so we don’t have cheats.

This is not true, I got 3 silver leafs in the same time someone in my group got 0 because I run full luck and major trophies.

Sorry neither of these are reasons to remove the buff. If you want the buff, you gotta flag, if you are going to flag prepare to die. Red is dead.

Its there to incentivize pvp not make it easier for you to farm.

Not being able to create farm groups is a different issue you can address by faction changing, server transfering, or finging a guild with people who want to help each other.

If anything the luck provided should be scaled to be MAX luck achievable by your gearscore on equipment and NOT stack with gear luck. So that for pvp players it is a way to do open world stuff without needing luck gear but they would have to find other ways to incentivize open world pvp.

Im a pve player. I only flag for luck. I accept i might die but ill fight back if attacked.

I always felt like the buff incentivized flagging but not pvp. It has always felt wrong seeing two conflicting faction members in a train workingvtogether flagged.

I dont know how you fix incentivizing actual pvp without a massive overhaul of the rewards they get only from killing players. For now the buff is one of the few things they have and its fine till they throw them some other bones.

Flagging for luck is stupid, it does not incentivize proper pvp. What it does is make pvp players want to farm cheap kills for faction tokens. Luck should not be forced on players who have no desire to pvp.

There’s no reward that will make a pve player flag for pvp. All this bonus does is create an economy unbalance, the few players that eventually flag because they’re comfortable with both play style, eventually will be avoiding the confrontation and either start running or look for spots where no one goes, so this bonus is a lousy attempt to lure pve to pvp which obviously didn’t worked as intended and created even a greater gap between the two play modes.

Then dont pvp flag. Its a bonus not a requirement. Its an alternate progression channel not THE progression channel. You can get max luck without the buff.
