Remove Root from GW

Right now you can take off your hands from the keyboard once you are hit unless you have riposte or entombed. Its way too powerful.

No, it’s ok that ranged players die occasionally.

I am Melee

If it’s not removed they’d need to fix the pull so that people cant walk out again like the earlier PTR build that we all told them was a stupid change.

Instead of going back on the lower pull speed change (because that would require admission of a bad idea) they put another bad idea on top of that bad idea in the form of this unasked for 1 second root.

The best we can probably hope for unless we want a big bad idea sandwich with a 3rd layer of bad on top, is that they LOWER THE TIME OF THE ROOT. I play medium bruiser with axe/hammer and it is way too effective the way it is right now, and I don’t need or want it to be so overpowered that they further nerf my build some day in the future.

Make it .33 seconds so that root perk on the tree doubles the effectiveness. A whole second is way too long considering the duration the gravwell is up, and doesnt allow a large enough escape window without spamming every skill you have real hard in a fraction of a second right near the end.

Right now, with the clunky combat changes, you are really hard pressed to get your escape off.

Maybe if they fixed the lack of responsiveness that the new action queue has created it would be ok, but until that is corrected people will need more time to actually escape.

If the root is going to stay on it, and they aren’t going to go back on the fast/slow pull changes, then the root should not be so long that it prevents effective counterplay by the majority of players. This is true of all roots. None of them should be longer than a whole second.

Gravwell should open up opportunities for a kill, not just be an unavoidable death to the other player. There’s not much skill in that, and I actually want that skill based combat they advertised.
