I mean if that is an easy fix, sure. I just dont think it will actually satisfy the people whoo are here asking for the cap to be lifted really.
And this is an issue for such a small portion of the community. Like, I dont see how they would justify giving this any real resources right now when they are still all hands trying to get the group finder up.
I don’t even know when this 25 resets, how does it count, I just read you can open a m10 and doesn’t count and sell it for 20k as long as you don’t enter it… lol, why sell shards if you can just do this all day.
There’s not an easy way for me to see my x/25 limit… I have to goto a mutation and see it. It’s in a very small top right corner, took me like 20 seconds to find it…
Whoever implemented this needs to be assigned to customer service instead.
Why not do it like this: mutation finished on 10? - running a lower one to help company members doesn’t deduct a “key” from the limit.
I’ve been at the limit every time so far, I still have so much gear to upgrade and don’t want to help my company members because I get less shards from muta 1 than from an elite box…
Can you imagine how bad this is going to get when that goes live? All the casual anti social types that love sitting in town and having a queue system for everything (not saying it in a negative way those people are important to the game as well) are going to lose their collective shit when they wipe repeatedly and groups fall apart only to get screwed even more because f you they’re still taking that counter down. So now it’s Tuesday you have half a dozen completed runs and we’ll over twice as many failed because of random leavers and you’re out of content.
I am not 625 nor will I ever be the way this system currently is, most of my guild already got thousands of shards from running M10 so they won’t waste there runs with me running M1 - M7 trying to get my gs up.
First off, it is sad to see no official reply from @Shadow_Fox or @Community-Team. Perhaps I missed it in another thread similar to this?
As I write this, there are currently 2 or 3 groups looking for a tank to run an expedition. (Not including groups LFM with M1-9,) Which I can (and want to) do. However I must conserve my runs in order to be able to play with my friends. I have only 18 runs remaining for the week.
What is the intended outcome of this? Is development trying to force us into open world aspects of the game? Gathering and professions? PVP?
The appeal to most MMOs is that you have a choice on what to do, where you find your enjoyment. Be it crafting, collecting, or social aspects. Mine is expeditions (dungeons). I do prefer a challenge as well, so while I appreciate being able to run 100 regular difficulty expeditions I do not see it as a viable option to just steamroll through them.
By limiting my ability to do what I enjoy in the game, I will need to seek out something else to do. Which ultimately will most likely be play something else while I wait for my run counter to reset.
Was this done to stop the m10 shard sellers? Because that is not where the gold sellers earn their gold. Simply look at the companies who own territories. On Orofena, it is basically two companies that own most of the map.
I do hope this is addressed swiftly, for the good of the game. I do feel New World has potential, and look forward to what may come.
From all the bad decisions the NW devs have made (which lets be honest here, the list is huge), this is probably the worst mistake they have made, and that’s a lot to say.
More and more complaints on this topic everyday. Been here for weeks trying to get an answer. This is one of the main reasons I no longer log in even though I would honestly like to. I will not participate in the system they implemented though. I’ll be back if they announce the removal of this stupid limit and massive changes to territory conflict though. Along with some kind of meaningful solution to overcome the insanely painful bad luck streaks of rng. There are many many ways this could be done.
My guess is they are monitoring the percentage of playerbase that is meeting the cap limit. If it’s a very small percentage of the playerbase hitting the mutation cap they probably won’t adjust it as to not base changes on small subsets of the playerbase. I personally think the cap is unnecessary and hope they eliminate it.
I posted this in a thread prior to seeing this post.
So in order to to get to M10 I need to complete all the previous levels and with most people/experienced players not wanting to waste their Mut runs, the only way to progress is to play with a 1/10000 chance experienced player or slowly wait and find a group that wants to run lower Muts. With no 2nd characters once you are at M10 you wont want to look back, so no room for Sherpas to guide the new and less experienced??? Bad Bad Bad for the less experienced or solo players
