Removing dungeon keys and adding daily dungeon limits. Are you guys happy now? More timegating

A hard limit per week means that its going to be even less motivating for a company to catch someone up on mutations.
I’m behind. I’ve been behind since the start of the game. When my company was running low level mutations, I was doing the 500-600 thing, mostly on my own which is slower. When I was able to run low level mutations, they spent their time practicing the high levels. Now that I have one setup at 625? I’m still last pick because I don’t have the experience, the ward pieces, etc. I have 20 mutated orbs, but the 2 remaining dungeon leads won’t put me in a run. All of the other people who werent part of the “A team” have left the game.
Part of this is me having issues making friends quickly, part of it is how fast all the other people I know have left the game, and part of it is the company I’m in being both small and having leaders who don’t want to develop their people. But when the game further incentivizes that it becomes even more of a problem.

You will be able to find a team with dungeon finder.

I mean it will likely be a shit show for the first number of weeks. Cause people won’t have the gear optimized and new players mixing in with veterans.

It should work out very similarly to the majority of other MMORPGs in terms of dungeon run experience.

Unless your server has a lot of rejects of society trolling dungeon runs or something.

I have to wonder about the balancing and functionality of any “dungeon finder” feature that they add, when arenas, OPRs and Wars all have exactly 0 matchmaking or role filling features and 2 of 3 of those options have needed it since last year.

I can’t imagine how long it will take before it’s superior to just using recruitment chat and asking for people to link their gear for spicy ones. I have no trust that they are going to make it work the way it needs to work.

I guess the silver lining is that it won’t cost you an orb to find out that the team they gave you is absolutely trash at PvE.

You don’t have to get rid of Orbs, just remove the CD… if I want to either craft or buy 100 Amrine orbs with my money and faction points - who cares. Why only allow me to buy one a day and craft 5 a day?

If I want to craft 100 Mut Orbs and run Depths back to back until I smell like a dysenteric cat with a fused spine, who cares.

Their decisions are just bizarre

I mean dungeon finder seems like an improvement? But only a small one over getting a group from recruitment. I’m comfortable doing that for normals, but not for mutateds really.
And yes, I’m on a server that is now getting quite small after being rather full (Pluto), and dungeon finder will probably have more than its share of people trying to run stuff they’re not ready for.

The patch has not even been tested yet.
The patch has no date when the PTR testing starts.
The dev video is about everything everyone in this forum talked about:

  • Remove mutations
  • Let us get the item we need from a dungeon not one lazarus bow 100 times
  • Perk balance

And on the first day of dev video release you all still hungry to talk about no improvement from AGS?

Is this a joke or are you guys for real? If yes please just move on to another game or stfu and wait for the PTR then give your feedback.

Ah yes the old “you cant tell its dogshit until you eat it” line of reasoning.

We can indeed look at what they proposed and make conclusions based on that information.
We don’t need to go waste time on the PTR before we can use our brains and think about repercussions.

Just stop with this lame logical fallacy. We’ve heard it before and it adds nothing to the discussion.

And what is it that you know for a fact now that you don’t need to test out?

That timegating mutations is too much for you? Is that it?

I can tell that a new timegate now exists, based on them saying so.

I can also tell that most of us hate them because we keep saying so.

You coming on a FORUM to tell people not to talk to each other, well… I can tell that’s stupid.

I can tell for a fact that people could only craft a certain amount of orbs per week.
I cam tell for a fact that people hated to farm orbs back in the day and hated it even few weeks ago.
I can tell for a fact that a lot of details are still up to be faced. They said 20 mutations per week but didnt say how they are going to stop you do more mutations, will you not be able to join? Will you not get loot? Will you not get shards? There is still to be shown.

And for that reason alone I would be patient for the PTR and test it rather than just shooting trash talk like this here. Day 1 of dev video release which no other game does, ever.

Lets hope this feature includes an inspect button so you can see the gear of the people you are inviting and their GS.

It needs so much to work correctly

We need to be able to inspect the players gear
We need to be able to not let them on the team if its not up to par
We should be able to give them a rating after a successful dungeon completion similar to a “likes” or a 5 star rating system but intended as a way to gauge that they are good and not just possessing the correct gear.

It also needs build archetype slots, and the ability to swap them around in your expected group comp so you can choose to make a 4dps 1 healer group or a 2 tank 2 dps 1 healer group etc.

Too bad you’ll need pipla shards for that, you can bet your bottom dollar…

I feel you on this. Running m10 pugs is a nightmare. I refuse to do pug runs any more and just go with people I know.

Rating system would be brilliant.

I’m sure they are aware of the shard sellers thread which was locked but then they realize it’s kinda true lol

Man’s probably a shard seller. LMAO.

m10s are super easy. But if you have one person not wearing the right gear or that doesnt know the fights or is just a bad player it turns that m10 into a massive waste of time.

It turns a 20 minute run into an hour.

You can do them in luck gear, long as it’s leveled. Meanwhile I have seen plenty of players in ward sets gemmed specifically for the mutations that can’t dodge simple mechanics. All this is going to do is create a toxic hell recruiting.
