Basically all available online resources state that Rend is capped at 30%. Two guildmates and I have run some tests, crunched the numbers and it shows that this is not true. Rend is capped at 50% “print value” and over 60% effective value. That means, once you have applied enough rend debuffs so that their combined values shown in the tooltip reach 50%, any additional rend won’t have any effect. However, since the rend debuffs are calculated multiplicatively, the effective reduction of a targets damage absorbtion can be more than 60%.
