With the addition of gear slots there is now a new problem with finding gear to equip. This is something to consider if improving the inventory search.
When just running around etc I migtht want to change weapons/jewelery. Preivously I had learned what to search for e.g. “hepu” for my various Hepu rings with different gems, or “hat” for the my different hatchets etc.
Now if I type “hat” it won’t list any hatchet I have in a gear slot, so I now have to also remember “oh yeah, my corrupted hatchet is in a gearslot this week” and look for it there.
A very basic improvement would be to have the current inventory text filter also apply to gearslots and only show the items in each slot that make (and hide the slot entirely if no items match). However that’s just a sticking plaster to the bigger problem that finding various gear in your inventory is terrible.
