Let us quickly save our current preset (yellow rectangle) and let us give it a custom name, poping up a dialog with an input field or something like that.
Let us quickly load presets wether the items are in the inventory or vault.
Let us remove our custom gear preset, and keep the items wherever theyāre storedā¦
Let us open the Loadouts UI (pink rectangle) from a button in the bottom of the inventory.
Loadout titles should be editable, also with a dialog, after presing āSAVE PRESETā button.
Items from saved presets should not be shown in the inventory or storage. But in the current gear set (yellow box in the image). That would eliminate the need to fetch and render in the UI a massive array of gear items every time you open the inventory / storage.
Removing a saved preset should not āDeleteā your items. I think removed items should be stored in the inventory. To encourage relocating these items (in new presets / or storages).
Thanks sir, and wow that miro board is huge. Great work.
I think that Having an Scalable Wardrobe for quickly saving / loading our Loadouts presets would be really helpful in the game. That feature alone would make New World a much better game. And I would be grateful if any of the moderators could effectively and formally forward this to the devs teamā¦
i thought this is coming with brimstone sands. darn it if it is not.
my biggest fear is that although we have seen several cool ideas/examples of how it might work, that they will give us some wacky design like their terrible lobby tool (ooops i was supposed to call it group-finder right?).
yea i know, i am negative. i just think that they are going to give us 1 extra loadout, and that it will function worse than doing it manually.
i hope for better . . . but i call it like i see it.
I donāt think they gonna deliver loadouts system with brimstone sands update. I think this will take time (months), 'cause they will need to test the feature, for bug hunting and so⦠and be (hopefully) released in the first quarter of 2023. If not, in the first half 2023.
My biggest fear is that they create a loadouts system for only 3-5 presets. And not making an SCALABLE system. I think that I would need more than 25-30 loadouds⦠One for each crafting set, one for each gathering set, more than one for dps / tank / healer roles (think about ward sets for pve). PVP presets⦠At least one for Wars, luck preset, also corrupted portals preset⦠there are many variations.
Iām ready to be disappointed. Letās hope they surprise us with something cool.
Iāve edited my thread. To include one more point to the list. Also reworded āWardrobeā to āLoadoutsā, this seems to be the choosen word for this.
I really like the idea of Isolating gear pieces from the inventory / storage. And have them saved into presets. I believe this would completely solve the items clutter problem.
That would be useful perfomance wise too. I can feel storages loading slowly when I have a ton of gear items in there.
If you can save a gear preset. There is no need for these pieces to be shown in the inventory or storage anymore*1. And, unless you want to modify your saved preset. We should still be able to pick items from a saved gear preset and send them to the inventory or an storage though.
*1Because presets would/should be loaded in the yellow box in my mockup
Apart from loadout feature (that I guess is coming anyway), we should have the ability to link an entire loadout in a DM for M10ās. Take Barnacles, or Ennead, where you need two different sets of weapons and armour. Being able to ālink Lost ward loadoutā and then ālink Angry earth loadoutā with 2 clicks, instead of several DMās like we have to do now, which takes quite some time and is a nuisance, would be great.
Itās an idea.
But I would prefer to have an inspect loadout feature.
Rather than you having to link it.
No need to ask. No requirement to link.
If you want, you inspect.
That would be better. IMO
