As a mostly soloer, when I’m clearing my way through mob after mob after mob to get inside a fort to collect certain items, I just keep getting inundated with respawn. It kind of takes away from the fun when you can’t actually “clear a path,” but instead just have to sprint to where you want to be, hunker down, and pray not too many mobs followed you.
Is there no dynamic respawn algorithm which accounts for how many players are in the area? I understand if there are 5 other players in the fort, sure, respawn away. But I’m the only person for many square miles, and the respawn is just too damn fast to get on top of.
A lot of the areas really need a whole load of work done on them. I don’t mind fights being tough, but after recent changes a lot of them aren’t fun - and considering you’ll be grinding the same quests over and over again, that’s a real pain. Rapid respawns, crazy aggro, mysterious retreat and reset for no reason, unannounced elite quests - some serious improvements needed.
Completely agree with OP. It seems like respawns were too fast at launch, then slowed down in a subsequent patch, and now they are back to where they were at launch. I kill some mobs, start on an elite, and the mobs respawn 30 seconds later, it’s ridiculous. I know this game is meant to be fast paced, but this is a bit much.
