Can be fixed as well.
Once you transfer a lvl 60 character on the new set of worlds, you get a GS 500 purple armor set by default, that has the stats you have chosen yourself (based on the points you distributed into your primary stats) and some GS 500 weapons of the type you had equipped before transferring.
And to add a bonus, a full set of Starmetal basic tools to mine, harvest, etc.
It would be fun.
But those are speculations, you donât have any hard case that dupers had that much of an impact by themsleves. As a matter of fact the economy was already trending heavily in this direction before most of the duping took place
These are not speculations, but the way the game is designed to work.
People need resources and coin to level their crafting.
Crafting exp required to progress each level is going to be increased 3 times from the next patch on (so people will require 3x more materials to level their trade skills to 200).
Cities require gold and mats for upkeep and to cover damages caused by invasions.
So there is a constant demand for materials, so the market values will never NATURALLY reach a point where economy deflates as it did cause of the dupers. Or it might but never fully, and even then in a very long time, and only if there would be no patches that add new content, expansions, etc. because of city upkeep alone!
Also donât forget that fully geared people will rarely go and farm materials. Theyâll do other activities for gold, such as Outpost Rush.
So the demand needs to be covered by mid-geared people, or PVE players mostly. And those wonât be so many as to overflood the markets.
Keep in mind that duping was possible since Beta. So you couldnât possibly know yourself how the market would naturally deflate, since the market was never ânaturalâ to say.
Edit: So theoretically, in time, the game could restore its economy naturally, but until then, Gold Sellers will still make a fortune. You have no clue how many people buy duped coin, and how many of that coin is made by selling duped mats that flood the market, and will do so for a very long time.
I know someone who spent somewhere in the range of 1500 euros to be among the first who reached coin cap.
Morally, I think thatâs wrong. People will keep buying, so the game will become P2W, because youâll have to compete with fully geared people that invested RL money to get there.
Wow⌠where do I even start? Itâs like youâre aiming to be objectively wrong in as many areas as possible.
You have to provide, at the very least, logical evidence to your claim. As it stands you only have speculations and your own claim that theyâre not speculations, not backed by any fact. There is a deflation and there was some duping at some point, but you havenât produced the slightest valid argument for them to be connected. Keeping on insisting doesnât make your case stronger, actual evidence suggests the duping had hardly any impact as it was limited in the amount of players/resources/servers affected.
That change is only tentative, probably not even going to reach live, even if it did it would actually make deflation WORSE by flooding the market with PRODUCTS made to level crafting.
Thatâs more speculation and also very unrealistic. If that was the case deflation would be improving at the moment, especially in high-pop servers, when itâs clearly getting worse DAILY.
The constant demand for materials WILL NEVER cover the production, partly because people have to gather A LOT MORE resouces than they need, in order to level up crafts, and in part because people have to gather A LOT MORE resources than they need, in order to drop rare components. That is without accounting the massive availability and refining recipe issues that make mid-tier resources completely worthless BY DESIGN.
Yup, and neither do you. Ultimately, however, the economy ALWAYS had this trend and a basic knowledge of economics and game design is enough to understand why.
Youâre blinded by the bias against dupers. I get it they had an unfair advantage but theyâre not contributing to the deflating economy, not in any significant way at least. The economy needs ECONOMY FIXES because itâs flawed by desing.
Also, as a final note, I donât want to sound like a doomsayer but resets and wipes are not in the realm of possibilities. So If you plan of having any meaningfull discussion try to stick to arguments that make an actual point.
Brother, after what you just said, continuing this conversation with you proves to be completely useless, as you lack the gift to understand and process basic information.
Youâre either a solid troll that acts dumb to annoy people, or you literally shouldnât have the right to state your opinions when you canât process simple logical thoughts.
Iâm sure you also have 0 knowledge on how economy works in this game, or in any game or environment, since you name the âfactsâ I have pointed out as âspeculationsâ.
I gave you solid proof when I talked about upkeep costs for cities, mats required to cover damages caused by invasions, etc. and pointed this out twice, in 2 different replies to you.
I told you about endgame players who would rather play Outpost Rush than farm âhempâ which leaves mat farming to early/midgame level players. This is another fact as Outpost Rush has an instant queue on my mid-pop server.
Whatever I say, you simply call âspeculationsâ even though itâs an implemented in game mechanic.
So I donât see any logic in your statements, therefore whatever you say is not a valid point of view, or a valid information at all.
I see that the people who actually understand the game (talking about people that have these debates on global chat that gave me the initiative to write those down here), donât visit the forums as often as Iâd wish, and after browsing the forum for the past 2 days, I see trolls everywhere, or people that donât know what theyâre talking about arguing with people that do, without providing any logic to their arguments; and I see that on any other thread, not just mine.
I donât know how much it would cost, but the only way forums would become a valid source of feedback to the game devs would be to hire psychiatrists to block people that canât follow a simple train of thought from posting on threads.
Let me give you some homework as a gift:
Read about how the gameâs economy works, because from what youâve told me, you are the one who doesnât understand it and only speculates. The information can be found freely on the web.
What are the resources needed for in this game? How many resources need to be generated for town upkeep? How many resources get consumed by crafting? How many resources get consumed by leveling crafting? etc.
You keep failing to understand the basics, so itâs obvious that you would never understand anything beyond that.
Wow, talk about ignorant, obtuse and delusional.
You canât even tell facts from opinions and you textwall harrass me.
Well played. What a joke.
Youâre literally talking out of your butt. None of what you said makes sense, let alone being a game mechanic. You become offensive the moment youâre required to provide any base to your fantasy based claims and any veritable facts contraddicts you thesis.
My bad for even trying to argue your utterly deluded stance.
Have a nice life. Maybe never to go to vote. Get vaccinated.
âItâs dead, Jim.â - Science Officer Leonard âBonesâ McCoy
The window to reset/reboot is closing and has been for the last three weeks.
If AGS is truly ignorant enough to continue trying to âfixâ what must be reset/rebooted, thatâs on them.
We have all known for all this while that this is what is needed.
The only people arguing against it seem to be the dupers, exploiters, and of course, those who profited by aiding and abetting them.
If THAT doesnât tell AGS which âsideâ of this mess theyâve cozied up to, nothing will.
Which, yet again, means theyâre listening but not hearing.
No one can solve that problem excepting AGS.
Lol, if anything the only people arguing for it are the 0.0001% detatched from reality.
Iâm throwing away the gloves withou you lot. Iâve explained and detailed the flaw in your reasoning but youâre the definiction of obtuse.
There is no side, thereâs realists and deluded fâs.
Iâm glad someone stepped in to shed some fresh light over the issue.
I know I was fighting against windmills, but Iâm doing it to gain some experience with trolls and people who are set against the issue being debated. Iâm pretty new on forums, and I wanna git good at it.
Youâve explained absolutely nothing at all, as there is no logical sense whatsoever in your arguments.
I actually explained to you how the ecosystem in this world works and gave you facts 3 times, which you deflected every time saying itâs speculation. I mean come on dude, anyone who has a clue how the game works knows what you are and why youâd get so defensive when someone wants a reset. I admit I was initially hoping that youâre just slower than the rest, but that thought went away after the second time you repeated yourself after I came up with facts.
Logic states youâre nothing but a duper trying to hold unto your items with your teeth. Youâre already dreaming of selling that gold and buying the car of your dreams, huh?
Didnât want to get too much into it, mostly out of curiosity. To see what you can come up next to defend this sh*thole the game currently finds itself in.
Hoping more of you will pop up on this thread, maybe the devs will check your linked accounts when all of this is over⌠if⌠ever.
Oh, sorry, didnât realize you had a sore spot there.
Fascinating. Telling, too. I believe this behavior is classified as projection, but yaâll can link through and decide for yourself.
My perspective is simple:
The economy collapse was caused by dupers, exploiters, and those who aided and abetted them.
AGS failure to hardline reaction resulted in a mass exodus we see reflected in SteamCharts.
Similarly, people demonstrated the bugs, the lacking end game⌠oh, and the dupes, the exploits, and those who streamed them live and in real time, etc, etc, etc, ad nauseam⌠surprise, surprise, more abandonment.
So, you see, if I am the â0.0001%â of anything, it is the number of people still willing to believe there is SOMEONE in âleadershipâ of this effort willing to do what needs be done to save their offering.
You and those like you, who believe your alpha, beta, launch presence confer some special glow?
Thatâs the usual post-coital sensory reaction; you likely have it from the oxygen deprivation required to deep-throat effectively. #copium #afterglow
