is it possible to get a restriction order of some sort for a player since even if you block them they still see your messages?
That’s not what blocking someone does. You’d have to politely ask the person you’ve blocked to block you back.
if you could just politely ask people to not bother you restriction orders wouldn’t exist.
This isn’t a court of law… the moderators nor game staff will enforce a two-way communication ban (injunction), just because one party doesn’t want the other to see their mutterings.
If you’re that bothered about this other person, report them in-game.
okay you seem to be unfamiliar with certain things, i will try to elaborate.
- most social media forces two-way communication, it is actually odd this one doesn’t
- the report system is extremely flawed in New World(you can mass report and it’s been abused before)
- bitter people exist. these bitter people also keep their speech clean. out of context no one will be able to determine if they’re hateful or not and most importantly no one will care.
it is my full right as well for my own mental health to not have even slightest communication with someone. if they see my messages means there will be an instance where they might join my party or be same place as i intentionally.
given that server transfer didn’t exist at some point but now costs money i don’t understand why can’t i have some safety? i also don’t want to change the server because i like everything about said server but one person.
- No one mentioned social media. In-game chat isn’t social media… it’s a method of communicating in-game.
- No one mentioned mass reporting. If you have a problem with a person in-game, report them. Outside of that, raise a ticket with AGS.
- Bitter people will always exist. There’s nothing you, nor I can do about that.
You’ve blocked the person. You won’t see any thing from them again.
You can’t stop them from seeing what you say. If you happen to come across them in-game, just leave the situation (this is your choice).
No-one is saying you are unable to be safe… It appears you want a bubble around yourself so a single individual (that you have already blocked, and probably reported) is unable to interact with you in any way, shape or form.
You still have the choice to leave that highly specific and unlikely situation if ever one arises.
Again… If this person is being threatening or abusive - report them and leave.
Server transfer tokens have been available for months. I still have two free ones myself.

Regarding your concern, even when is really interesting sadly there’s no way to restrict the distance between players, you could hire some tank players to be near you and provide the needed protection but that would be up to you

Jokes aside if you’re facing some kind of harassments or bullying from a player in-game you can report them as many times as you like following this steps:
