It would be great if the drops weren’t locked after the teams move past an objective. It just seems kinda unnecessary. If the goal is to have players return to aeternum, why give players who are returning slightly later a worse experience. Even if it is just cosmetics, one would think that any thing that could possibly discourage a player from returning would be avoided. It feels like a weird marketing move when it could be just set up so that they are unlocked in order in the viewer’s inventory and the tiers unlock to become available to be earned through the teams objectives. If the goal is to boost viewership on twitch in order to increase the likelihood that players return/ encourage purchases of the game, what is the difference if those views come later in the event or not? under the current set up, there will be a sharp decline in viewership in the hours following the unlock of the final tier. Whereas if viewers are still working on previous tiers, viewership numbers will decline more gradually and be more likely to carry through until the end of the event.
