Returning Player Expertise System is Awful

Are they not making it easier or is everyone just ignoring that and wanting it eradicated right now, as if that’s going to happen?

Majority of the current player base already has 600 expertise so the update does next to nothing. 500-600 expertise currently only exists to gatekeep returning/new players from new content. We have 600-625 junk to constantly grind, so 500-600 is not needed.

Why should it be given to returning/new players? …So they return? Seems like they’re trying to make it easier for returning/new players.

Aren’t you gate keeping as well if you were to say they shouldn’t just get 625 right away?

They seem unable to accept the fact that its their system thats bad in its essence, and instead of removing it, they just keep trying to “make it easier” for people. Its insane IMO

I thought expertise drops where from the 2 endgame dungeons where you need to be geared already or has that changed?

Nearly every mmo bases a characters strength on the gear score of their items, wow does it too. You cannot reach max gear score in a few days like you can in NW

i think this is fairly disengenious.

the problem isnt that you dont want to do x y z.

the problem is you have to do x y z to do AB and C

not that A B and C are any better than X Y Z but some people want to do stuff like wars. open world pvp, run dungeons, or whatever else.

however they are stuck for roughly 1-4 weeks depending on how much they play, after they hit 60.

its a progresion wall that abruptly changes.

yes its easier its WAY Easer now but that doesnt mean some people that jumped into this game for the PVP or the PVE would want to get stuck waiting to do those things. and in the mean time wasting all the time in between with garbage that isnt worth shit.

and nothing else feels bad like getting a dooms chance at 560 while you were grinding experience (better soon)

no one here is asking for free BIS full everything 625 1mil umbrals per gypsum casts.

the problem is that progression abruptly does a 270 off to the left for no damn reason. (the reason was ags was desperate to slow down progression so they changed the rules)

no one would of cared if from the get go, level cap was 70 and you would naturally make your way to 600 gear score.

What you don’t understand is that a lot of players don’t care about expertise. What they want is to be able to find pleasure in playing NW without having to go through this unmotivating grind.
It’s up to AG to do something about it.
I’m not asking for it to be taken out of the game. What I want AG to do is to provide me with lots of new and fun activities that I can do without expertise.

Don’t jump to conclusions so quickly. I have commented on expertise many, many times and none of it was praise.

Imagine launching a new game mode, investing in marketing, and even organising community activities, only to shut out the people you called back. Making them complete other tasks before they can enjoy the activity they came back for.

I have KSH and CE in WoW for the current season I am aware of how MMO progression works so please don’t lecture me like I don’t. And I am telling you expertise is garbage.

I am not asking to be handed anything. I’ve grinded the current expertise system up to 570 gs.

Its not about it being easy or hard to complete. Moving up in expertise is obtuse and boring.

Its about the system they’ve implemented being trash. And they have created an environment where IDGAF about any loot that drops until I hit 600 GS.

Don’t waste your time. There’s a subset of players here who would rather see the game die than have obvious bad design fixed (because they were loyal and if they did it, so should you!)

They remind of pathetic losers who suffered through humiliation to join a frat and now feel like they deserve to put others through it. Like they earned something special.

You can blast Genesis for expertise bumps, you don’t need to wait for Laz or Tempest.

To the main point of the thread: I think a lot of this could be mitigated by upping faction gear to 580 and having that 580 also be the effective GS. Additionally, maybe the 500 starting Expertise level could be upped to 550.
