Returning player questions - Gearing, War declarations, too much loot

Me + my guild plan to give new world another chance, but where are the fresh servers for brimstone launch? Please don’t tell me the new servers on the 02. of November are the only fresh servers.

Who would want to watch people play 2 weeks in advance.

Second did any of these changes got fixed in the past year:

  1. Declaring war - Do yo ustill have to mindlessly grind the same pvp quest with 100 just to declare war so smaller guilds have no chance to make that happen ever?

  2. Did they change the Destiny 2 Gearing System with the mindlessly numb repeating tasks just to increase some arbitiary score?

  3. How did they solve the overwhelming amount of gear in the game, does it finally break so crafting is not completely useless?

We just want to see if it’s worthwhile coming back, we want to pvp, we want that it’s possible to regularly do wars & contest other territories with our guild without relying on 100 man zergs & we don’t want to farm boring repeating PVE content to stay competitive.

Nothing here has been fixed! lol Good luck starting fresh on the 2nd of nov!

wow, that is surprisingly disappointing

  1. Yes

  2. No

  3. They didn’t

What game are you coming from/going back to when you find this out yourself?

Nope it is still crap in all 3 of those departments. The last 2 nights about 15 people from the company I was in have been pushing First Light and still havent been able to declare and that is with them doing the PvP missions back to back for about 6 hours each night rofl. Game is garbage

‘Mindlessly grind’ - if a company with 50 members that will declare war do the 2 PvP quests they get like 1% or 2% per delivery (depending if have fort for bonus). Basically u can declare war in 2 runs with 50 members.
But yeah, if u do pushes with 1-5 guys will take long time.
I’ve seen companies that fought a war and 15-20 min after declared war on another territory.

I dont even know who would follow somebody like u, assuming that u are the guild leader.
But I wish u best of luck and all regards, sorry if u feel offended in any way by my post.

It almost looks like the game doesn’t want small groups of partisans declaring wars …

except we have the largest Cov company on the server by a fair amount. People just have zero interest running those dog shit missions. The system is god awful and needs to be gutted, people want to do war, not play running sim for hours just for a CHANCE at getting to war because god forbid another Cov group does their 10%. 50 people online, only 15 willing to run those dog shit missions

yes, it sucks, but if you can rally the troops its fast. Provide incentives like “stimmies” to your members. That is the best way to motivate. We pay our members a bonus for running missions. Keep in mind, the more influence you gain in your company the higher chance you have at winning the declare. You also lock other competing companies out by gaining more percent. So its a win/win for you if you can rally people together.

We do offer $$$ for running missions and people still dont want to, that is how bad their systems are. I can go farm farrrrrrrrrrrrrrr more gold per hour vs running those awful ass missions. M10 - 35 minutes, usually an easy 20-40k. If I want to go raw resource farm, 10k+ per hour in gold, like who tf wants to go run those missions when they offer jack all

sounds like your company isn’t interested in generating content then. I agree the system is absolutely terrible, but if you have enough people who are hungry for content then you can motivate them to push as a team. We usually schedule push events and do payouts. The best time to do them too is after a war while everyone is on (but of course you need to get your first war to start this habit).

No they just arent interested in smashing their head in a door over and over for content and I dont blame them. The game lacks content as it is and the content there is, is locked behind some awful grinds / tasks

Hasnt been a single change to the war system in what… 6 months? Last change was the spawn change… before that, putting letters on doors (Were these ever fixed to be the right letters? I gave up hope)

This is really disheartening. There was so much potential, but the switch of directions to PVE abandoned a lot of PVP development it seems. It’s good that they want to make other citys more profitable, but the content should be doing wars & not running from town to tree 100 times for 1% each, thats madness.

The problems being discussed in this thread - the gearing, the territory system, Etc, - are the main things that are going to end up causing the early demise of the Fresh Start servers.

I and a bunch of friends are coming back to play fresh start servers, but I know it won’t last for more than a month or two because these core systems remain unchanged and unacceptable in their current state.

  1. its garbage, didnt change

  2. mean what? 600-625? or expertise? Gypsum helps with expertise, 600-625 is a dungeon grind or u can just do pvp every day and reach it with gypsum

  3. meta shifts so gear crafting will always be useful. Since release BiS gear changed and went only up in price so crafting was always huge profit. People using millions of gold are all mass crafting and selling or reselling.

They should create pvp settlements/strategic points with pve bosses at each thrrough the zone you have to kill within a zone to activate a war for that zone.

They can choose to defend those, taking them away from whatever tasks they are doing if they decide to do that and have enough online.
