I seem to enjoy playing the War Hammer+Hatchet build with BB option. If these changes are aimed at PvP, why apply them to PvE? My interests in this game are PvE.
After reading the notes I switches from Medium load to light load and equipped a Fire Staff+BB, hated it!
-Shockwave damage reduced from 80% to 60%.
-Wrecking Ball damage reduced from 130% to 90%.
-Clear Out damage reduced from 115% to 100%.
-Path of Destiny damage reduced from 100% to 70%.
The weapon has been gutted for leveling and farming. Sadly I play this game for the CC/AE bruiser PvE play-style and clearly that’s no longer a thing.
I tried fire staff but take too much dmg and killing is slow and boring.
Eh i dunno, I use warhammer for just farming, doing faction dailies, etc. I don’t really feel like much of my damage is coming from my cc skills in the first place, so having them reduced a bit doesn’t bother me that much. I am a heavy attacker, my masteries and perks are built toward that and most of my damage and healing comes from that… which is actually getting buffed with the patch so no biggie to me.
My bigger disappointment is the trenchant recovery nerf.
Experimenting with Juggernaut tree: Empowered+Grit on heavy+35% extra dmg when hit (always up) and Wrecking Ball. I use WB to setup my BlinderBuss. So far working well.
Yeah Trenchant was used purely for farming, not sure why they nurfed it.
What I noticed was on live I don’t need pots and rarely food. Once I moved away from the 35% healing talent, I now do need to dodge more, use pots and keep food on CD.
I do find it pretty annoying that the pve game in general is always suffering for the sake of pvp. Even just having entire weapons that are left as total junk for pve (musket lol) because they are a constant pvp complaint.
Is Power Through Pain (Hammer) bugged? Its supposed to increase dmg by 35% for 1sec when taking dmg. I get hit and sometimes it procs and most times i wont proc.
