Anyone who has done invasions will know, the top person on the scoreboard will always be a mage or great axe user that spent the whole invasion sitting in the back AoEing grunts and swordsmen. It looks good, yet doing that has very little value when it comes to actually winning an invasion.
To win an invasion, you need people killing the brutes, spriggans, priests and commanders. That’s where the points should be coming from, yet currently you get 2 points for killing a grunt and 3 for assisting on a boss. The amount of points should be much higher and scale with the damage dealt by the player. Or at the very least, more granular information like damage dealt to bosses should be displayed.
Please review the invasion scoring system to encourage proper gameplay. Especially in a system where you don’t have control on who makes it in, you need all the incentives you can get.
As a side note, this is also true in wars where damage is highly rewarded and trying to capture points not at all.
The rewards are the same for everyone and that shouldn’t change.
The goal is to have actual contribution to the invasion’s success be reflected in the recap screen. Nobody has ever lost to some grunts, it’s always when you get overwhelmed by bosses. Destroying siege weapons should also be valued.
If anything, the current situation is more of a damage race with people fighting for AoE pad and ignoring what they really should be doing.
