I’m level 60 and the past 4 invasions over the past couple of days I’ve been kicked from the group before I even finish loading in.
With the current system, a company can literally kick people instantly from invasions until they fill with their own members / who they want. There’s no point in having a free sign up (with a max of 10 per company that own the territory) if this continues to be acceptable behavior.
I understand companies wanting their own members for a greater chance of winning and therefore town upgraded not being downgraded but then there’s no point of a free sign up / max of 10 per company. That said, see invasions as being faction wide working together to prevent it and I think that’s what was intended but it’s not what’s happening
Such a silly system and an easy fix, implement a vote kick system that requires the majority and/or a limit to number of people that can be removed.
Not sure how Amazon didn’t have the foresight to see how this could be abused
I think the company should have more than a 10 person say or they should up the required level to 55 or 60.
At the very least they should not be able to kick after the invasion has been going on for a few minutes and possibly add an auto afk kicker that happenes after a minute (since you should always be active during invasion.)
Or there should still be rewards based on contributions whether you are there at the end or not. I played a little over 20 minutes of an invasion to be kicked and got nothing.
I was invited and kicked from an invasion probably 10 times today. They just boot you until they can invite who they want. It’s super annoying and possibly toxic.
There is very valid point for kicking, this is hardest PvE content in the game and defending company is putting their own money on the line as they have to pay in case it’s a loss. Therefore it only makes sense that they can try to get best possible team to fight. I have been in many invasions and it’s simply not possible to win if there are even a few groups that don’t know what they need to do.
It’s just bad game design not allowing companies to select all the players and allowing some other way for everybody to get similar content.
It’s not just your company gold, that is TAXED gold coming from a lot of other players who reside, craft, do things in your claimed settlement.
This is not rocket science and is nothing special. It’s basic PvE hard mode where folks need to learn to stay out of the corruption so they don’t die quickly, yet what is funny, from the most recent stream and youtube vids I have seen, very few of the “controlling company” members ever use the defensive potions to help mitigate corruption damage which is a major contributing factor to why you fail so often.
There are tons of solid players who are lvl 55-60 that would probably do just fine and in many cases, do better than many of your “company members” because these other folks who signed up likely brought defensive potions, etc, and better prepared.
The actual rules clearly state, the current owning company can choose up to 10 and the remaining 40 are supposed to be from signups. Clearly this is being exploited and abused and requires a change, otherwise you purposefully are blocking others from PvE content that they have the same right to experience as you do.
So in closing, it isn’t your companies gold at stake, it’s money that everyone else has contributed through the tax system and thus, gives everyone else the same rights and same risks, especially when you have “outsiders” who have set up in bigger homes in your settlement that you control and rely on that T5 crafting station for their lively hood on the server. They have just as much, if not more to lose than most of your folks in your company.
Yes of course it is taxed gold, but not all areas bring in even enough to pay for normal upkeep cost of the buildings so obviously companies don’t want to lose even more.
It’s not rocket science, but how many times have you seen those unorganized fights with random people to actually end up winning? Coordination is very important and it’s simply not as effective to write in chat and hope that people listen compared to having everybody in discord.
Yeah, there might be random people who know what to do but how can you make sure as there won’t be time to check that everybody is doing what they should once the battle begins?
It’s being exploited because the system itself sucks and this content with current dificulty is not really planned to random groups.
It’s up to the company to set taxes as they see fit and contribute quite a bit to the company coffers. It may not make up for all of it, but a heavy portion. Again, your company isn’t the only one with a major stake in losing the battle and having random stuff downgraded.
How many times have I seen unorganized fights with randoms end up winning? None that I can recall, but then again, I rarely ever see an “organized company” win either and see senseless left click spam and think their healers should be able to spam cast heals while company members pay no attention to their surroundings.
Frankly, I think if companies were more inviting to 55-60 randoms and advertise well in advance to please bring defensive corruption potions, etc, to help mitigate the damage, you would likely see more successes.
How can you be sure that each random is ready and prepared? I can ask the same of every company member that replaces those randoms that get kicked. Again, most company members I have witnessed is many fights are just rushing and left click spamming, while depending on healers to keep them alive. IE: Poor situational awareness that causes your company to lose.
If this content was not meant for random groups, then AGS would have never set it up the way it is now. You could easily argue the same thing when you get randoms joining up together to run lvl 60+ 5 man content / dungeons, etc, and come out just fine and maybe picked up a few new friends along the way.
You are essentially shooting your company in the foot by discouraging others from participating and it tends to lead to negative feedback and lack of desire to help in the future. I have seen and spoken to many high lvl players who have picked up and moved to another settlement after getting kicked multiple times when trying to defend the settlement they call home.
Encourage folks to get into voice coms before an invasion. It’s not hard to set up a basic “guest” channel in discord to invite folks to at least join to listen in. Taking the extra effort to help folks learn and be informative would go a long way in building a better community and better outcomes with these invasions.
Players usually have the possibility to go to another area as at least on our server there are more than one area with tier 5 workshops so mostly it’s owning company that is taking majority of risk here.
I have participated in both our own company invasions & as random member for other invasions and so far the difference has been huge. When we have our own men inside victory has been very close, but with random people it has always been failed around 4th or 5th wave no matter how much instructions are given.
It might be that this content was meant for random groups, but unfortunately it’s not winnable as it is unless everybody will have 600 gear score equipment and that can compensate lack of coordination. Of course we can always try to get random groups to join our discord etc. but it’s just a lot more work and risk compared to kicking random groups away.
I’m not saying that it’s nice thing to do or good for the game, but practically has to be done at least right now to have any chance of winning.
It’s not about the “best” people, I am 60 with 570+ gs. It’s the way the system is made. You keep booting people to get your company people in. It’s a bad system.
I can certainly respect your view points on this. I think in all honesty it comes down to difficulty may be ramped up a bit too high instead of starting out progressively as a server matures and higher “water mark” gear score gear is found / available.
I see both sides to this situation and it honestly sucks! lol
Here is to hoping we see some balance tweaks regarding these invasions sooner rather than later.
I can’t fathom why people are defending this. If it’s intended for companies to have full control over who participates then just let them pick the participants. Don’t load people in and then kick them. That is just wasting people’s time since these are scheduled events.
