You know they won’t. This weapon is going to rot by the wayside for PvE, and will only have one viable PvP skill set.
I came back into the game just to use this weapon because I’m a fan of shotguns and currently it’s too clunky to use in PVP due to its hitbox not being good even at close range.
I hope they improve this weapon’s hitbox, even lowering the damage, as it was only viable with the stunlock and oneshot combo.
You can kill squishy folks with 2-3 musket shots as well though. Time to kill is just faster, but also you need to get up close.
yes but I can kill people with 150 con build in 2-3 shots whereas Musket needs to run at most 50 con or 5 con in order to do so at 625gs
This is true, but again, you’re in relatively little danger when you do that. Especially if you run a rapier(why wouldn’t you).
Well, have you personally tried skirmishing close/mid range with the Musket at 50 con and found consistent success without having to get shit on by every other class?
But that weapon wasn’t really made for close range. This is like asking if you tried to hit a shot with the blunderbuss from 100 meters out.
Yeah so why are people asking for ranged nerfs on the weapon when it’s literally designed to function at said range?
/shrug

Calm down buddy
Remember when everyone said the BB was dog doo doo on release? lol
The primary difference here is that with BB you’re in the middle of melee combat. The Musket doesn’t require that kind of close combat whatsoever.
Oh I’m very well aware of this, I’m just emphasizing that fact because the people complaining or asking to nerf the Musket want the Musket to be used “within” close/mid-range combat even though the weapon was strictly specifically designed for long-range engagements…
musket shouldnt be hitscan. It needs bulletdrop
can u explain?
It kind of is without Refreshing Move. For PvE Azoth Shrapnel is the only good ability without Refreshing Move. Splitting Grenade is solid, but the cooldown makes it barely worth having.
Yeah I hope the one shot BB goes.
Why the hell would you wade into skirmishing range with a standoff weapon, while having the health pool of a underfed gerbil?
Its actual cringe, if you play this weapon and are not every OPR round at least top 10 and have less deads then every DPS that did at least a bit damage.
Since I played BB 90% of my rounds were like this.
Well, I’d like to ask that very question to the people complaining about Muskets being played at the long-range which is what was intended for…
