bruh wdym cant ignore blackguard void is already changed to plagued crits on ptr so in may patch is gonna be back to normal,while ice gauntlet and fire staffs where rly bugged , but true why they picked shit armor perk for fire staff and ice gauntlet

bruh stop spaming , they already said fire staff ,ice gauntlet wont get reverted at all true they should pick other perks for them but they wont be fixed no matter how much you spam + you have 2 better fire staffs and ice gauntlets from other dungeons than the tempest one, only good was fire staff, and the void gauntlet is getting reverted … and i guess you probably dont even read …

In fairness, the wizened set is alright, and the fanciful earring is respectable. But many of the blackguard weapons are near best in slot, and FS/IG got shafted by the replacement of an existing desirable perk with refreshing evasion. It only gets worse with the forthcoming nerf to dodging in general. PLEASE bring these weapons in line with the PvP viability of other blackguard weapons and/or refund umbral shards invested into these once-compelling weapons.

Based on your comments, we are scaling up the 300 STR perk to keep the perma grit and provide a 20% base damage bonus. Also, improved even further melee homing, so you get bluetooth hits from all nearby attacks.

It’s really not garbage. I realize keen and vicious are overrated but not for FS because of certain perks in the tree that increases crit damage. Also I have full resil + freedom gear I only have refreshing on my weapons and jewelry.
Its absolutely garbage, its the “best” fire staff drop and its just a double perk weapon, refreshing on a weapon is wasted.

In that case, AGS should improve fire staffs and adding plagued heavy attacks to the Blackguard weapons would be a good place to start.

The next update is fixing the change to Blackguards Void Gauntlet.
They way that is worded, its almost as if they (the devs) are sour that they are changing it back…

What about all the “feedback” people have given about the blackguard FS IG nerf? I haven’t seen any forum posts specifically asking them to revert VG and no other mage weapons, I see “feedback” about reverting all blackguard mage weapons back to what it was or plagued crits.

@Aenwyn I’m sorry that some people got a bit toxic in this thread but would you please address the blackguard ice gauntlet and fire staff nerf? The weapons went from near-BIS to D-tier after we had ample opportunity to invest 10K umbral shards in them. Is there any future in restoring plagued crits or in replacing refreshing evasion with a slightly less irrelevant perk? Like something that only goes on a weapon?
