Riposte need a fundamental rework

Riposte can stun anobody around that person for 2.5 s.

Riposte is so overpower they are overuse by Bow, Musket and Healer for survival.

Suggestion :

  1. Riposte only stagger and slow (20% 2s) on hit
  2. Riposte works only when hit in front of the person by melee (remove range and magic effect)
  3. The affected area from riposte hit is a cone in front of the ‘‘riposter’’

Maybe tune down the cooldown reduction on rapier too honestly.

This is what needs to happen (avid rapier user)

Keep the stun, but only allow stuns to happen in front.

ONLY able to set off the ability, if a melee attacks you. If being hit by mage, bow, or musket…it doesn’t trigger and you don’t have immunity vs them.

If someone hits you from behind, you still take damage. (Sounds more logical, since it’s a front facing ability)

Make it more of a timed skill ability, instead of a get out of jail free card. Make it only punish LMB spammers.

Cool down on it is fine.

2.5 s stun is way to long honestly.

Should be reduc at 1.5 s max

Was discussing this there either day, why not make it so when a musket player 100M away attacks someone during a riposte, it not only stuns everyone in the nearby area, but also reflects the bullet into the nearby players as well.

1.5 isn’t enough to do anything. Legit, if the person has freedom…stun does nothing lol.

2.5 is fine.

1.5 s is enough to get that heavy attack noob combo with evade if the guy doesn’t have freedom, but not enough to land that 7-8k noob combo if the opponent have enough Freedom.

Riposte is more a killer than an escape in good hand.

With refreshing move, CD reduction on rapier tree and evade, the cooldown comeback too fast

Insanely easy to know when it’s coming, and insanely easy to react to it. Good players don’t get caught by it.

Riposte is the only weapon able to stun, that you can’t stun chain with.

If you’re being hit that much, riposte is the least of your problems.

I used to play Bow and rapier for 2 month and it’s stupid OP. You probably one of them and doesn’t have the honesty to see that riposte is way too strong.

I’m melee for 2 weeks now and avoiding 90% of riposte, but some animation make it impossible to cancel it, which is not the case with riposte you can land at any iframe.

Riposte is broken and that’s why any decent healer, bow and musket are using rapier.

You’re entire argument is flawed automatically. I’m all for balancing, even if it means my main build is being nerfed a little. I’m all about longivity of this game.

BUT, feedback from players that lack the knowledge of how the game works, is why unnecessary buffs and nerfs happen.

Riposte + Heavy + Evade light attack = 7-8k dmg

Look I took my bow for 2 OPR in the last 2 week and finish first with top damage and top kills. You only understand how thing are op when you try everything, which I suggest you do to get your head out of the sand.

It should activate your stand, The Emperor, and allow you to control the bullet manually.

I’ve experimented with 2 different loadouts on my rapier.

One rapier with keen, sundering riposte, and trenchant crits. Other same, but omi evade instead of riposte.

Still don’t hit 7k-8k on someone with it. This is me experimenting between 300 dex 215 int 5 con, and 300 dex 165 int, 50 con.

Trying this on various players. Light med and heavy.

You’re not comboing 7k-8k using a bow rapier combo lol

Can’t even do it with full 15 stacks of mortal empowerment.

I think we are looking at this fundamentally wrong. Why nerf riposte when we can do that instead?!

Combine it with Boingo’s Thoth. There’s no enemy that can beat them together…
