ITS A BUG… in conclusion, this has fair chance make it to live version ofc because AGS never repairs anything that seems remotely important 
(slightly toxic there, but feels like it)
RIP rapier i guess until fix (one month or more from next patch)
I contacted too, to me the support guy said he had no idea at that point, so it had to be escalated to developers. I’m still waiting on their email back.
We need some reply here. And we need it asap.

i m quite shocked it takes this much time to reply to them… they seem to react quite quickly to things that dont matter as much (ie: moving threads from one pile to another - that happens typically within seconds)
To be fair. the recent update did bork everything.
the entire dev squad is probably on fire control.

A man in 300lbs of plate armor wont be jumping in the first place… try again
Against a somewhat competent player… riposte is pointless…
Against a GA button masher… riposte has a decent chance of landing…
Conclusion… dont smash random buttons
Regardless if it makes it through or not I’ll still run rapier as a healer. The mobility is just too good to pass up

its not pointless at all it can block damage and just using it for that alone as a counter to another persons ability can be very strong. Its a high skill weapon.

Yes its high skill and CAN be useful if timed perfectly… against a button smasher… its a lot better chances to work… against someone that actually has skill… you’re probably not gonna land it

since when is riposte spammable?
and block is a much better way to avoid damage… especially with the shield
I have tested this and it is fixed.
However, this does not mean the bugged version wont be in live game its AGS so expect anything
