Road Map, Nothing about Outworld PvP

And you brought to the community what we do not want. Glad you granted us the example this article was talking about

OWPVP player are the problem. Not the PvP. Thank you for your “carebear” response. Without the example behavior, the article would have been wrong

Btw, I interact with others. Direct trade, banter, discussions, dungeons, and sometimes some RP.

Yet, you think interacting with the world is solely a predatory thing. Makes me wonder.

Who dont want? 1000 players in an alpha testing? cause they get griefed in starting zones? Ok remove PvP in initial zones. Rules changed one time can change two times. With this rules game didnt work. Dont be mad boy. Its what it happend actual rules is a bleed of players. Game feels bored, world feels died, wars are absurd. outpost rush and other kids of instanced content is a suck.

And we both know how ArcheAge is now
And for you info I did PVP in Wars and faction missions with my guild… I just don’t want it to be forced, like anything else in my life

Read it again slower. I see by your words you are proving the article true.

Yep no one force you to PvP. why u are forced? PvP will not give nothing to you. So if u go to kill players its because u want not because it will give some kind of advntage to you. Solved

Solved

And what you say is false. Especially about present OWPvP. When you flag you get buffs. Which is funny. It shows no one wants to OWPvP unless there are incentives. So. It makes what you say, false.

Even if OWPvP changes, no incentives, no one wants to do it. Proof is in the forum history. It shows that OWPvp wants more incentives cause no one wants to with existing incentives. That screams OWPvP is dead.

So in truth, the majority here does not care about OWPvP. It is niche and will always remain niche in the MMORPG genre.

Sorry that you cannot understand that.

He thinks he speaks for everybody. When in reality he can go to any server and see for himself. You can count with one hand people that go explore flagged for PVP.
I’m sad he doesn’t understand that making a move like that would be the final nail in the coffin.
Why isn’t he playing ArcheAge? It’s a perfect game for him… oh right… No one is.

Archeage is the most P2W game i ever play. Second my self flag por PvP like many other only cause luck boost but we dont fight because is a waste of time, no reward and no risk. If i die i dont lose nothing if i kill i dont earn nothing. Conclusion boredom, boredom as hell. PvP outworld dont have any impact in to the world right now. Why u will go to hunt players? we is my reward? why i will dont lose nothing? bored

This is always going to be the answer. You have given examples of what the articles claims as well.

It’s a no go. You’re lucky you are getting salt as a PVP currency. But I am sure the instanced PVPers had more influence over this feature than OWPvP will.

OWPVP is niche in the MMORPG genre

Tell me this when ashes of crations come live, Or wanna see The Day Before (sand box , zombie ,survival game). Time to time a sandbox free PvP and PvE will get number one

Lmfao
Do you know how many years your type been saying this? It’s vaporware that people pay to get into. It screams the beginnings of p2w! Enjoy 3 more years of waiting.

You are exactly what the article warns us about. And the AoC response is meme worthy! Good to know the article holds true now more than ever and your posts show why AGS said NO!

Nov 2021 they talk about PvP and they tell to us this. April and we are still waiting this Long term new outworld features. etc

OPEN WORLD PvP

Longer term expect a new open world activity that flagged players can participate in that we hope spurs and rewards some smaller scale engagements across Aeternum.

In addition to rewards, we understand there are some gameplay issues with open world PvP. Currently it’s hard to know whether players in your faction are flagged or not. This can make it difficult to know whether or not you have back-up and assess whether you should engage or not. We are aware of this issue and working on fix. We also understand combat tactics can be difficult since the visuals for all area of effect spells are the same, so it’s difficult to know whether a spell is from an ally or enemy. Unfortunately, this is not a trivial fix, it will require a significant code update and numerous asset changes. While we agree this is an issue, this will take substantial work and investigation, and will not be resolved soon.

So, basically that what you are calling PvPvE have always been called “PvP” by mmorpg developers/players…

PvP is also the way to kill open world and possibly a game in its entirety…

My prediction if anything would be some sort of rotating Area of Interest that involves autoflagging for PvP with no full loot in the new Brimstone Sands area whether or not they retool Forts before Fall (which should be a current big priority).

Frankly, Open World PvP is lacking because there are not places it can be facilitated while yielding no rewards. This “fight over the sand by yourselves” suggestion is not something that would fly with PvE folks being told to make your own imaginary dungeons or boss fights, would it? We were promised a way to get HWM/expertise bumps months ago and we haven’t seen that. Forts yield little sway over the overworld since the bonuses are miniscule on the individual scale, particularly so with recent azoth changes.

But that is not to say that the direction of the game is necessarily moving mountains for other areas of content. Arenas are still lacking the proper emphasis and attention to be wholesome, repeatable, standalone PvE. Mutators still are only two element types and all of the available Mut Dungeons (to include Tempest Heart) are not yet available at all times. Crafting remains a crap shoot minigame with a greater likelihood of failure with each patch that brings new perks. Salvaging, though spoken about, still yields 3 gold and repair parts on 600 GS items. Weapons still are not where they need to be, etc.

I welcome good changes since this is a PvX game, but we need to recognize truthfully that PvP has been left on the back burner for quite a long time while understanding that the game is still not yet on solid foundation.

I wasn’t even playing this game two years ago. Its almost like pvp players aren’t monolith, ya rerun! There is no sense trying to have actual debates with folks like you

I run flagged and see people flagged all the time. I helped a flagged player clear a landmark once.

Most flagged players are doing it for the luck in my experience.

And then there is the douche that lets 3 mobs gang up on you and kills you for the LOLs.

It launched in September last year. Unless you were in Alpha, it is an obvious bit of info.

And you want us to debate with you when you cannot understand simple timelines?

No merit

haha you are case in point of why its hopeless to talk to the anti-pvp crowd. I was responding to someone who said the pvpers ruined it for themselves two years ago. You didn’t even follow the conversation properly but I’m the one with no merit. Ya’ll are a trip!
