I think for the PVP frens out there they could have done…
Fall: ? ? ? PVP MODE ? ?
Or! Something. The good thing is that this is not a full year roadmap. The bad thing is that means 6 months confirmed without a new OPR map or PVP mode. Without the guarantee of a mode in the second half. Even if it’s not too reveal the other stuff, just mentioning that is confirmed in FALL/WINTER would be much better.

I think it is fairly obvious at this point, that while the game started as a Full-Loot Open World PVP game, it is no longer so, and its design philosophy has done a complete 180 into PVE-centric design.
I suggest the PVP advocates make peace with this and do whatever they feel they need to do with this information.
PVP will continue to be an afterthought as the Devs work to fill out the game world with all of the PVE-centric features that are missing due to the previous PVP-centric design.
Overall, This game has potential, and I’m curious to watch the devs fill the game out with their new PVE design philosophy. They have a lot of work ahead of them.
Also, swimming animation when?

Yeah it’s interesting because wars do seem to be the pinnacle of PVP content and PVE is definitely missing that equivalent right now. So maybe you are right, they are trying to fill out the game given the last minute 180 and lack of good PVE content. The issue is that most players do not have access to wars and still won’t with the update. Then on top of that there just needs to be more diversity of PVP content. New maps and new modes up to a threshold then that can ride itself out for a while. Contrasting with PVE content which needs constant development. Perhaps they could split their time better? Maybe not? I think people assume things are easy when they are not, (typical armchair devs) but the priority definitely seems to not be PVP. I do think it could be balanced a little more. I’ll be okay with an expedition not being released one quarter for a single PVP game mode. Maybe that’s not equivalent? Idk.
I say this as someone PVE focused and in love with this roadmap. But I do understand it’s not all about me either.

With the new dev video includes Additional Content With Each Release which entails Quality of Life (QoL) as stated, I believe 2023 will be time to include Name Change Tokens and Appearance Change Tokens/Barber Shop. Below has been a on going discussion with lots of feedback and suggestions. It’s time for players to be able to change their name and appearance, especially with the Summer 2023 Transmog system coming out.

Lightning and Arcane Attunement Weapon Perks…2023? When…
We currently have Arcane Mutation but no Arcane Attunement weapon perks.

High difficulty, I mean back in time when Blizzard did it on WoW the patch for that feature takes around 6 month to come to live, and I guess WoW developpement team at that time might have been way more bigger than the actual AGS staff

Im honestly not sure how to feel about this. Half of me is screaming yay more content the other half is super disappointed because its yay now we can que the same goddam bowpr map quicker. I have a feeling this sandworm is just going to be big arena boss with a huge healthpool and will not be an actual raid. No new weapons is disappointing, no ranked pvp modes(probably will never happen).
However this game might be a game worth playing to new comers in 2024 just intime for me to switch to ashes of creation lol

I did say this as someone that does love me some Star Citizen, but I don’t think AOC is coming out anytime soon.
I agree there is much good in the roadmap but we do have to take into account what is missing as well.
Imagine thinking this is still a PvP game, omegalul.
Honestly the road map is cool but no smaller scale PvP Game modes or new weapons is a bit disappointing.
Excited for the new Expedition, aesthetically from the placeholder photo it looks very cool. (remove ward perks please)
At the very least I hope the elite trial is a unique raid with other mini bosses and a nice instanced raid and not some arena boss.
We will see.

I think this is good. Also, we need to keep in mind that the roadmap isnt a complete list, I mean with the previous roadmap they still surprised us with stuff that wasnt on the roadmap (i.e. the 1-25 MSQ revamp). Who knows what else they might surprise us with this time…

I dont blame them for going into a pve focused model. The game generates hype when streamers play PvE and then the game dies til the next pve release. Its just a seasonal MMO at this point. Nothing to get upset at its just disappointing.
