Very true my friend, it bothers me that the game has the chance to increase content with minor tweaks.
PVE Arenas: remove keys, reduce gold reward, change patterns
Siren Queen pattern always has lost ward etc.
Corrupted Breaches: give unique set with ward/corruption resist + random perk on Legendary, new rare azoth staff with 2x speed
Could go on and on about dead content in the game.
They will do the same thing with the new dungeon, they removed Varangian armor set drop from the regular mobs and probably put them in the dungeon as reward.
It sucks because I farmed those armor sets and the droprate was insanely low, now my Varangian pieces changed to Forsaken, which doesnât make sense this only drops from Lost mobs and Varangian is humanoid
True. And NW does not have this. Thats why we have that drop from peak player base after BS. Ppl came back, played untill they get to end game loops and they saw all the issues with this loops and they stop playing.
Yall live in some alternate reality the most dead server hits 700 peaks every day which is enough to have 17 oprs going at the same time and over 200 3v3s
Never was the case. First players that do leave servers are pvp players. Last players you have are pve. So moment you drop to 500-700 range OPR is dead except evening or other time of day when you have peak in given zone.
Theory confirmed: yall live in an alternate reality. How does that even make any sense to you??? Pve content has an end and can get repetitive while pvp never ends and barely gets repetitive like come on⌠what games do you think are more popular? Pvp shooters or pve building games? Hint: its pvp games
Iâve said it on our discord and Iâll say it here. My tin foil hat theory is that cross server OPRâs are so far down the roadmap because they know they wonât need them by the end of summer because they will be down to one server per region.
Itâs the big brain move to get out of doing the work.
I mean I see what youâre saying, I just donât think you understand what heâs saying.
When a server starts to die the PvPers are the ones who leave the server, not the game. They transfer to a more active server for more PvP (wars on dead servers are meh and rarely happen)
Again yall living in some alternate reality, the only people who switch servers for pvp are competitive pvpers or people who pretend they are competitive but suck. Opr or arena isnt competitive and anyone can queue for it you cant sit here and tell me a server that has 700 player peaks cant get an opr match going. I remember over a year ago my server was peaking at like 400 and STILL had oprs going
Of course it can. But if itâs peaking at 700 players, the more dead times you arenât getting OPRs, and let be real longer queues
CAP, you would see at max 1 OPR queue that takes like an hour to fill. That or you found the unicorn server of randoms who casually play PvP. 400 players is like really more like 300-350 players when you take into account the bots. So youâd literally need over 5% of the population to be looking for OPR at the same time. Not saying itâs impossible, just saying from what Iâve seen in dead servers, it just doesnât happen often
So why are the people on these servers complaining about the amount of time they spend in queues for these activities? And so many coming to these forums to say that PvP in New World is dead?
Example below, why would anyone saying this be happy with the current PvP content and sit in queues for 20 to 40 minutes waiting for some content they are not really that interested in?
Exactly the same thoughts. We need new activities, stuff to spend our time with. A new expedition and even weapons doesnât make me log back in. I can only play 2 weapons at a time and why would I switch if I enjoy my current weapon??
They just felt like hating on nothing i guess? 2 days ago there was some guy claiming that no one does mutations with randos anymore because everyone wants to place high on leaderboards and yet theres always m10 lobbies opened in the group finder
Maybe you just dont realize this yet but the majority of posts and complaints on this forum are overexaggerations mixed in with hate. A guy had to wait 5min for an opr queue and will tell you that he couldnt get an opr going. Like what
They say the entire game is dead because they dont seem to know what dead is. They also say theyre gonna quit but they still playing
Well actually, I meant the people ON the servers. I am talking about those in global chat and although I donât personally PvP I joined the queue for OPR and sat there for 20 minutes just to see how long it took.
I have to agree with this to a certain extent. When someone on this forum suggested that a world I had a character on was âdeadâ I pointed out that it had a population from about 800 and peaking between 1500 and 1700 his response was âdoes OPR pop?â and insisted that if OPR didnât âpopâ regularly then it must mean the server is dead.
He couldnât accept the possibility that it was just PvP that was dead on the server and the server itself was completely healthy with a PvE population.
