I mean I see what you’re saying, I just don’t think you understand what he’s saying.
When a server starts to die the PvPers are the ones who leave the server, not the game. They transfer to a more active server for more PvP (wars on dead servers are meh and rarely happen)
Again yall living in some alternate reality, the only people who switch servers for pvp are competitive pvpers or people who pretend they are competitive but suck. Opr or arena isnt competitive and anyone can queue for it you cant sit here and tell me a server that has 700 player peaks cant get an opr match going. I remember over a year ago my server was peaking at like 400 and STILL had oprs going
Of course it can. But if it’s peaking at 700 players, the more dead times you aren’t getting OPRs, and let be real longer queues
CAP, you would see at max 1 OPR queue that takes like an hour to fill. That or you found the unicorn server of randoms who casually play PvP. 400 players is like really more like 300-350 players when you take into account the bots. So you’d literally need over 5% of the population to be looking for OPR at the same time. Not saying it’s impossible, just saying from what I’ve seen in dead servers, it just doesn’t happen often
So why are the people on these servers complaining about the amount of time they spend in queues for these activities? And so many coming to these forums to say that PvP in New World is dead?
Example below, why would anyone saying this be happy with the current PvP content and sit in queues for 20 to 40 minutes waiting for some content they are not really that interested in?
Exactly the same thoughts. We need new activities, stuff to spend our time with. A new expedition and even weapons doesn‘t make me log back in. I can only play 2 weapons at a time and why would I switch if I enjoy my current weapon??
They just felt like hating on nothing i guess? 2 days ago there was some guy claiming that no one does mutations with randos anymore because everyone wants to place high on leaderboards and yet theres always m10 lobbies opened in the group finder
Maybe you just dont realize this yet but the majority of posts and complaints on this forum are overexaggerations mixed in with hate. A guy had to wait 5min for an opr queue and will tell you that he couldnt get an opr going. Like what
They say the entire game is dead because they dont seem to know what dead is. They also say theyre gonna quit but they still playing
Well actually, I meant the people ON the servers. I am talking about those in global chat and although I don’t personally PvP I joined the queue for OPR and sat there for 20 minutes just to see how long it took.
I have to agree with this to a certain extent. When someone on this forum suggested that a world I had a character on was “dead” I pointed out that it had a population from about 800 and peaking between 1500 and 1700 his response was “does OPR pop?” and insisted that if OPR didn’t “pop” regularly then it must mean the server is dead.
He couldn’t accept the possibility that it was just PvP that was dead on the server and the server itself was completely healthy with a PvE population.
its a good idea imo but its annoying how you have to wait like 2 minutes to change gear. yet again a mechanic that wouldnt be in the game if the devs played their own game.
What exactly do you think cross server queues will do now? So the people in these queues come from where and where would the OPR/3v3 actually happen, on which server and in which region?
US West and AP only have 2 servers in each region, so they can at most double the population if they allowed cross-server between FSS and legacy (FSS is probably mainly PvEers anyway), while SA only has 3. Cross server isn’t really going to make that much difference. Only EU and US East will benefit much from it.
You either want those things or you don’t. Whether you can label them as content or not is 100% irrelevant. What “stuff” we get isn’t dictated by the label given to it; it’s not as though someone at AGS goes to the art department and asks for some new content and they go… “nah, no can do… we don’t do content, we just draw things”.
