Luxendra, please can you review my post. I completely understand the reasoning behind not issuing a roll-back, but it’s the consumers of your game that are effected here, both existing and new.
We can’t see the data, but RWT, In-game economy and players interest are at stake. It may only be a small proportion of exploit abuses, but I can guarantee it’s not their first exploit rodeo in the MMO space. RWT plays the biggest part here, and this bug exploit will be the make or break decision of this game including, impacting the earning potential from the cash shop later down the line. RWT’s are clever and no matter how confident you are in your data capabilities, all gold will not be accounted for.
I really want to continue playing and be completely disgusted with my hour count in a years time lol. But today is a Red Flag and a roll-back would be best way forward.
Not only from the feedback on the forums, be open, simply put a poll out to the players with over 100 hours, mark my words, they are the oil that will keep this gear moving.
In the MMO genre timeline, no matter how big or small the company is, in a situation like this, the reset button can be your biggest friend. I bet Jagex, Blizzard etc, would love to go back and hit that button, when they had their finger on the pulse.

As someone who has sunk 250+ hours since launch, please listen to the feedback on here. A roll-back is a smack to the face and not a good look however, it will be vital for the longevity, time commitment and happiness for the player base.
Based on the data. New World has a chance to become a market leader in the MMO space and by simply not making tough decisions like a roll-back, this will impact the drive to keep the community active.
In short, players need to expect bugs, I have been gaming for over 20 years and this is common. But New World has a chance *clue is in the name of the product” to become the best. Show grit, make the roll back.

i know several people sitting on 500k gold even after the “fix”
yeah, go be a merchant you roleplayers, go farm and sell stuff for months to have the same amount that a lot of people got by straight up duping gold.
I’m shocked they are happy invest huge development funds into a project like New World but management can seriously think this is not game breaking. Just like smoking, this is taking life expectancy away lol
Same here, I’m aware of a few people with Max gold myself. Why waste the teams time basically trying to find the exploited gold. Damage has been done on both the economy and player skills.
