I’m been watching YouTube clips with people playing Sword/Shield but still able to roll dodge, when I put on a shield my light setup jumps upto med and I have to step dodge, what’s the secret?
Round shield + light chestguard
You have to use light for every piece and round shield.
Typical light could use medium chest but with the extra weight from the round shield (the most lightweight of the 3) you have to use a light chest as well.
Like the others said, you need to use a full light set of armor, including your chest. If you’re seeing people running around with a tower shield and still rolling, it’s a skin.
