If balancing PvP play is of any importance why do only some of the NW weapons have the ability to take away opponent players keyboard inputs via roots, stuns, etc.
Doesn’t seem balanced, I can’t think of a more powerful ability to use against another player in PvP than the ability to take away their ability to respond?
With these abilities in game shouldn’t all classes have them in some form or another?
um, besides healing…or is it burst… wait i know range.
also you dodge out of most (maybe all) forms of CC in the game, and now with 100% diminishing returns you kind of have even lose of those.

If all weapons do the same thing, why have more than one or two weapon?
Who said all weapons do the same thing, that’s not even being asked for. No one is asking for arrows to fly out of a great axe! Stun and root abilities, strongest PvP abilities, should be equally shared, that’s what’s being asked for. No other abilities exist that deny opponent player keyboard input actions.
OK, you can dodge most CC in game, there is also diminishing returns on All CC on SAME target so after 5 CC’s you are unable to be CCed for a length of time.
also all weapons have some form of advantage of something, I.e. LS has best heals, Bow/musket has best range. some weapons have CC some have tons of CC, but if you cant be 100% to death because your team has a healer, there CC now means nothing as they CAN’T CC you.
PVP wouldnt be fun or original if everyone had a stun/root… If you’re a light staff user you can use VG for scream (ROOT), Warhammer (STUNs), Sword (STUNs), IG (ROOT/SLOW). Your argument is invalid, get creative.
I play Fire Staff / Blunderbuss. My only form of defense WAS Blast Shot, but with the changes, I’m actually swapping that to Net Shot. Net Shot gives me a tiny push backwards, but that’s about it. If I land it, it will slow them but doesn’t mean they can’t get me before I out-range them. Not every “class” should have massive CC.
Ok First, you can dodge most any action in-game, CC or ranged. Second no one is asking to take away any of the current weapons specific abilities or strengths. Bow will still have range, LS will still have best heals etc. Lastly the weapons that currently have stuns and roots will still be dishing out higher or equal dmg as they always have compared to say Fire Staff, Hatchet, Bow or whatever other weapon doesn’t have a stun/root ability, so I’m failing to see any valid arguments in your reply.
I am failing to see what you are asking for then, it is clearly not balance and it is not for all weapons to be the same, so what do you want.

personally, I feel like they just need to balance gear builds,by reduceing pvp damage a bit for heavy armor builds,i mean in light weight ya i hit a bit more but it doesn’t scale against heavy armor at all.full tanks can hit 60-70% of what i hit in lightweight and they take like 90% less damage.Makes going toe to toe with them very hard.I mean it should be dominant,
My argument, or question rather, was why can’t all weapons have a root or stun ability. Your response seems to be because only others weapons have it and you can use them.
My point is if a game allows some weapons to prevent a player from fighting back, then other classes should be able to do this as well. It’s a huge PVP imbalance IMHO. No reason why all weapons cant have a stun/root special attk option. Why do two of the strongest dmg weapons in-game get it and lesser dmg weapons don’t?
Yes you are failing to see what I am asking for, and since u admit to this there is no logic in you stating that I’m not asking for balance, because your claim eludes to you having an understanding of what I am asking for, which you most obviously don’t.

The 2 stongest dont have it,
life staff and bow. we can talk about musket but I guess traps are CC even if theya re up close on a ranged weapon.
I am saying your idea of strongest is not only YOUR idea it is wrong.
I don’t want an argument on what weapons are capable of the most damage, but you’d probably agree that some of the “stronger” weapons, in PvP play, also have stun and root abilities. If there are in-fact “weaker” weapons that don’t have such abilities, why shouldn’t they, they are already inherently weaker in damage. Why should stronger weapons take away a weaker weapons ability to inflict dmg, while at the same time forcing them to receive their higher damage, without any regards to the weaker damage player keyboard inputs? Isn’t it enough that the stronger weapons already do more dmg, or shouldn’t the weaker weapons be able to stun and inflict their lesser dmg without regard to opponent player keyboard inputs as well?
I think the game really needs stun invulnerability after first stun, so you can’t be stun locked to death.
