True and im not even a healer. I would love a book or scroll you read from as a healing weapon.

Oh a Libram or something, that would be incredible actually.
I think the rumored Arcane gauntlet is next and speculation for that is a defensive style healing - as we have a reactive, that would be pro active.
Either way as a healer I would love to expand my toolkit even further. The VG feels a bit useless (as a healer) other than weaving in some attack during boss fights and some provided buffs to dps.

They have been teasing the flail+shield more. PTR has a few tauntings. I’m hoping they will be a focus/con type weapon. Or maybe a pure focus?
I just want another shield combo!

A new weapon for Healer should be based on the Angry Earth and maybe include specific range debuff/CC abilities.
Maybe make using the abilities cost Azoth due to the Lore connection.

I think they have to first figure out what they want healing to be in new world. They cannot add another weapon that’s better at healing than the life staff because it would break pve and PvP. So if the life staff is the pinnacle of healing, what else could they add and what purpose would it serve? Alternatively they could rework the life staff and go from there.

Community has been asking for a 1 handed mace + shield combo since launch. Ez pz, scales off STR / Focus, 1 tank tree and 1 heal tree. Paladin style

That’s true that it’s a bit sad to see only LS scaling at highest rating with con. personallyI’m mostly hoping for more diversity in dexterity main weapons, because thrust damage only for dex. Wile str and int has more choice in their damages

I thought a water gauntlet would be cool. Abilities could focus on non targeted AoE like pushing out waves of water in a cone. Heals would be mostly Regen focus with a stack building mechanic like rapier bleeds that stack on allies for incremental heals, then another ability would consume those stacks for a burst heal.
We have ice gauntlet but I feel the liquid form is underrepresented.

The life staff already deals in earth/nature damage though, I cant imagine another weapon of that type.
I think if its a new healing item its going to be a new damage type. Just speculation.
Another very cool idea, have it be similar to vanilla wow resto druid where you are stacking HoTs and then consuming them for burst healing

They have the void gauntlet that didn’t break the game, why not a new healing weapon to compete and compare with the void gauntlet?
A flail or mace with shield would be quite fun. It’d be cool if the healing would be a splash (radius) around the healer. Or a tree where you sorta off tank and bind with another character (heals effect you to and could absorb some damage).

I love to see a monk type character maybe some form of gauntlet/knuckles that scales of strength focus they have the craftmod for the monk just implememt it
Something with a form of beneficial cc would be nice so healers can break away from almost having to use rapier to get breathing room
Or even a weapon with an ability something similar to the pvp perk that transfers a debuff to the attacker, but transfers hp instead and scaling off focus. This would punish left click spam mode.
Definitely would’ve been nice but I think they’re doing the right thing by revamping the leveling process first (tho maybe they should’ve delayed the greatsword? Greatsword is probably easier to make, though). It would be sick to see something like a diablo wizard’s orb, fan, scythe or some kind of floating dagger or something in the next update, though.
