Say goodbye to any new PvP players

You dont need new players. You have base of like 95%+ players of 15mln+ compies sold that quit the game. Now you have to figure out why they quit - change that - and then find a way to lure them back.

Since there will soon be nothing worthwhile to spend faction tokens on, maybe we could add an endgame tier of pvp armors to the faction shop that runs 590 and stays purple after 600, and just make it cost half of token cap per piece if you really need to timegate people.

They’ll go out and run faction missions (maybe even pvp ones) and actually have rewards for it, while getting toward a viable GS for doing pvp.

Most of them quit because a streamer told them it was bad 6 months ago, not because they gave up on their own after toiling over gearing choices for months. Youre giving these people way too much credit. They play what the streamers they like play so they can hang out in the chat and feel like theyre gaming with friends.

AGS dropped the ball and ruined the hype surrounding their game. Throwing red meat to people based on “do this or else!” posts is not changing that.

They should probably just dump resources into new content and double umbral/gs gains, then do a soft reboot with the new zone

I do not know one single person in our 100 man clan that quit because of streamers quit. They quit because the bugs and the ignorant grind to get gear.

@Soluss arguing with the moron @ComfortablyNumb is pointless. Just block him like everyone else did lol.

Nah i dont think its due to streamers. Its all around game: bad patched, no content. Expcet march patches there was no single patch that did not restore old bugs + add some new ones. Amount of content we get since release would be ok if dev team is max 10 ppl. But since its amazon and only game they made im expecting like x10+ amount of ppl working on game so i want like x5 amount of content we get and bugs as a exception not as a rule every patch.

The 4 people I started the game with, all of whom were mmorpg newbs, quit when people stopped playing it on twitch. They all basically said, “games dead, man. Stop playing it.”

They did have other reasons to quit. The leveling grind was too arduous for them (they all stopped around level 30), the walking around everywhere when the game first came out was painful for them, and, perhaps more importantly, they “weren’t sure if they were having any fun” playing the game. I think they felt compelled to play new world because there was a lot of hype for the game, but once that died down they decided “what’s the point?” and stopped playing.

They realistically are never going to come back, and they aren’t unique. Most people who bought the game never got to level 60.

You said they were mmo noobs… No one in my guild was mmo noobs and none of them quit because streamers that they didnt even know quit the game.

That’s fine.

I’m just saying a lot of people, like tens of thousands, quit because streamers stopped playing new world.

The streamer stops playing when the game stops being profitable, or simply when they stop getting paid to bring people, not because they like the game or not. Whoever pays attention to the streamer on duty in all the stupid things he says, better go see a psychiatrist.

How many shitty games have seen them “promote” saying that it is the revelation game (V Rising), and after 1 month they were never seen there again.

Crawfishing now huh after being called out?

Insults just show you have no logical point to make.

You really think they are turning a monthly profit right now? lol

That’s not ENTIRELY true. I’d like to think I make both logical points and really good digs from time to time!

Well, you are guilty of both, yes. LOL However, at the moment, you are not the topic of conversation.

Do what OSRS did and implement changes voted for by the community

But also don’t do what OSRS did because bowing to your playerbase is a bad business model.

Have some oversight and veto powers but do votes on what people want and pick the most popular

@Shadow_Fox Another update without aiming sensitivity. The last push I put up regarding this said it was moved to another area for devs to see it. Any news at all on when a aiming sensitivity slider will be added?

child, read, analyze, occupy your head and don’t think with your ass before giving your opinion please…

Right - games these days basically need that hype to last so they can justify finishing the game.

  1. Make 3v3 arena have a separate que for premade groups and solo finder. Basically have 3 or solo que because some of the arenas I have done have been the same premade all day. This is difficult for experienced players wanting to solo and new players trying to learn no one wins.

  2. Make everyone’s Gear register at least to power of 600 in all instanced content. It doesn’t have to go legendary just offer the same stats and stat bonuses other players have access to. Getting to 625 should be a reward but IMO getting to 600 just means you earned an extra perk on you gear and is already a huge advantage.

  3. instanced wars and invasions where its just a huge mess, these are fun when I have been in autofill wars (wars where the owning company gave up/ didn’t have any players so anyone who signed up got in.)

  4. Increase Expertise grind speed up to 600. Its not fun going doing this slowly add a higher chance to get much higher expertise on occasion.

  5. Offer purchasable faction gear up to 600. Give it very basic perks like resil and refreshing and never the ability to go legendary every 25 levels of expertise offer another version with better stats. Also sell blueprints/timeless shards for a very considerable token cost from vendors to make armor look like faction gear.

  6. The content of the game is great its just with a lot of focus on PvP a lot of players feel barred from a lot of endgame content and I don’t think 500-600 is a good grind anymore considering the mutations that need to be run upon hitting 600. Its too much of a time investment for returning players.
