"Scam is ok" : AGS

Our council took guild bank and left after 2 month of being a council and even longer an active player both as a company leader and pvp/pve player. So he was a trusted guildmate.
I’ll just leave AGS responce here
Remember you cannot have a company without at least 1 council, there is no history of guild bank or any control for council money use and if someone decides to take money they can just block you and continue playing as nothing happened. .

This has been the case for as long as I remember. Still shocking that there’s no control in place nor any plans to add some.

I think they spoke about a guild bank history log or something like that. Haven’t seen any ETA for that though.

“We have player guidelines that we only enforce when it comes to harassment.”

Yea i got scammed 20k from a guy saying he was going to craft gloves for me. While that incident falls on me, him and another player did similar scams to multiple and multiple players.

It violates their player guidelines, but nothing has been done.

Seen this happen with other companies as players take breaks, someone will ransack the coffers.

I wouldn’t expect AGS CS team to do anything. But hey, at least we got player guidelines they ONLY enforce when it could be a public image issue.

and the sad part… that tool were “set daily limit” doesnt work for consil

That’s what my ticket literally said. Read your TOS.

I fear I might voice an unpopular opinion here, but I actually support AGS’s stance on this.
Aeternum is meant to not be a nice friendly Utopia. I mean you got an almost eternal war raging, and betrayal is unfortunately also part of human nature. Henry the 7th, king of England, found that one conspiracy led right to the heart of his inner circle - William Stanley, the brother of his own stepfather, who had actually beforehand supported him during the battle of Bosworth against Richard the 3rd (who he basically had also betrayed), aiding to secure him the crown.

Granted, in a real setting you would be able to hunt such a person down (Stanley lost his head over it), which in the game you can not do if they do not pvp. If it is a pvp player - hire hitman from opposing factions, pay out on proof via screenshots every time they kill that player. That is then within the rp that is mentioned, but yeah, if they don’t pvp your hands are pretty tied to exact any vengeance. You can only warn others and taint their reputation at best, that’s pretty much it, but once we got server transfers, not even that will be a given.

Still, it is meant to be a cut throat world, and I’d also say it is pretty difficult for AGS to chase after these kind of cases. Could try build an additional safety net in, but not sure if that would throw other complications up.

At least it’s only pixel money. In ESO, players exchange ingame coins against cash basically, with the gift option from the shop. Company has always made it clear that this is your business, and if it goes wrong, tough
