Banning the player for “using ingame” system. He did not abuse it, he just used the opportunity that was provided to him by the game

That sucks, but I think the first thing they should do is make it so that new company members (regardless of rank) don’t have access to the treasury until after a set amount of time in the company (can be adjusted the leader). If this sort of thing was in place then this incident wouldn’t even be possible.

Easiest solution… Make all new company members start at settler regardless of the company size. Someone should never be automatically made a consul.
That being said… I have no sympathy for people at gold cap who say they’re forced to start their own companies. There are plenty of things you could invest your gold in like legendary mats to avoid hitting the cap. Just store your wealth in those instead.

Easiest fix they could make, and should have made by now from all of the horror stories like this. Is set the maximum daily limit default at 0.1 for all new recruits to the company period, including consul.
The only thing that should ever, ever be changed about this is if the governor leaves for some reason and the consul gets promoted to governor, then they could override it.
Those that are insinuating that it isn’t abuse, or isn’t scummy must have never had anyone take something of yours that you couldn’t get back that you worked for. I’ve had my fair share of theft, and that’s what this was - Theft - .
I’ve had my house broken into, and my valuables, safe and everything busted into with “Real world mechanics” and lost things that i could never replace. And it’s the same feeling when someone takes something from you inside a game that you worked for. It makes me sick to my stomach.
It’s not just “in game currency” just like my valuables weren’t just “items with monetary or sentimental value” It was time out of my life that was taken from me. And i really feel for you.

I spent most of my formative years growing up in a bad part of town. What other people called “theft”… we called “Tuesday”. Heh.
Still sucks but… It’s game. I’d just chalk it up as life experience and move on. It’s not like it’s hard to get your money back. Especially if you run your own company.

AGS doesn’t care, and thy will not ban any scammers, like in Archeage for +7 years. AGS rewards any kind of illegal players and doesn’t ban any kind of illegal players. Only legal normal hardworking players suffer in this game.
The fact that there is no ledger/log for who takes out coins and when in the Company Treasury is BEYOND me. Talk about an area for instant abuse like this.
There needs to be better visibility, even if only at the Governor/Consul level.

Thing is, AGS can absolutely see the money and where it went.
What they cannot however see, is if this was a ruse designed by two people in a discord server trying to get free money. And since “Player two” already supposedly spent all of the money on the market (interesting additional detail) and took out more before player one noticed. It could be seen as highly suspicious all around.
That’s probably why they don’t compensate like this.
The level of movement it would take to undo all of this is just high.
A better solution to prevent the stated “scam”… is stop enforcing that the second person joining a Company is automatically Consul.
Every person who joins a Company should do so at the lowest rank possible. I don’t care if it’s member #2 or #100+

Just dont set you withdraw limit to infinite when not using the coin not saying you shoudn’t be forced to change it everytime time better to keep that 1 coin limit and keep changing it back and forth each time till a change is implimented i noticed this as an issue first company i joined defaulting high ranks first and tbh you should have been aware of if from the start also sucks that it happened but also u’ll know next time to keep changing the withdraw limit to stop it happening again.
Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should. If he had any shred of decency he wouldn’t have done it.
Withdraw limit doesn’t apply to Consuls, and for the love of all that’s holy, learn to punctuate!
