Scarab's are they bugged or gonna be useless?

The PTR guys on YT are showing what the Scarab can do and can’t do. The big thing it can’t do is you lose the gem slot when you pick two perks. It’s there with one perk selected but is gone with the second perk selected. Now they didn’t try it on armor just weapons and the slot disappeared. Anyone know if the gem slot is gone all around using the Scarab or is this a bug AGS?

I hope that is a bug but does also sound like a reasonable trade off.

Weapons with no gem slot typically have 4 perks. Assuming… and hoping… this is a bug. Otherwise, scarabs are completely useless because nobody wants a 2-3 perk no gem weapon.

The gem slot is gone, as in it is replaced by the perk guaranteed by the scarab? So 4-perk weapons? If that’s the case, that’s a good new for dps, but big RIP for tanks, and mediocre RIP for healers

Gem slot currently is ONLY available if you roll GS600. They made a mistake in order of stuff. Normally 3rd perk is last. But scarabs have gem slot last. So all weapons are useless with scarabs unless GS600. Classic AGS what can I say :smiley:

This is kind of interesting I might have to jump on the PTR to find out… But I have listed and sold a few two perk only 590+ items(all of them were armor) for over 25k on the TP… But if I am guaranteed to at least make my money back on a roll I will be thrilled.

You’re not. It will lack gem slot, people will not buy that.

It’s bugged, the gypsum casts also don’t have gem slots again

We are talking about weapons with 2 perks and no gem slot… why would anyone want that? Not sure why you are bringing up armor. Is the armor you’re selling unable to equip a gem? If it can hold a gem then it is not relevant to this conversation.

Technically the weapon is worthless under 600GS anyway lol who uses purple weapons these days ? Lol

I’d happily buy a refreshing move / thwarting strike GA if I ever find one with a decent price tag.
